0.6 to PD Salt, top-edged to midwicket, van der Dussen pouches this one! Another frenetic innings that ends in an early departure for Salt. The extra ball pays out for Jansen, who dug it in short and got it up above the shoulder. Salt went hard but chipped tamely to the edge of the circle. 9/1 2.3 to JL Smith, flubbed on the pull, another one gone cheaply! Almost identical to the Salt dismissal, though it's mid-on that takes the catch this time. Smith trudges off for a three-ball duck with a blank look on his face. A tournament to forget for England's hastily promoted No. 3. 20/2 6.4 to BM Duckett, gottim... leading edge and Jansen gobbles it up! Duckett somehow got into a tangle looking for his favoured clip off the pads, the ball sailing back to the bowler at a nice, catchable height. He looks aghast but will have to join the procession back to the England dressing room. Might have been a leg-side wide if he'd left it!. 37/3

35.3 to JC Buttler, Buttler goes, plinked to mid-off! Just an uppish push but it went much further than intended, allowing Maharaj to make a tumbling take on the edge of the circle. Possibly a slower ball from Ngidi. The England captain's swansong is another half-formed blob of an innings. Will that be the last time he bats in an ODI?. 173/9
7 | 1 | 42 | 1 | 6.00 | 24 | 7 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
25.3 to J Overton, stunning catch from Ngidi at mid-on! Not much of a shot from Overton, but superb athleticism in the field. Overton looks to whip flamingo-style over the leg side but chips it up towards mid-on. It briefly looked like he'd get away with it, but Ngidi scrambled back then dived forwards, clinging onto the ball with his left hand as he hit the deck. England slide further towards ignominy. 129/7
7.2 | 0 | 25 | 3 | 3.40 | 30 | 0 | 1 | 5 | 0 | |
17.3 to JE Root, cleaned up, timber! England lose two in five balls. Fullish, angling in towards the pads. Root looked to work leg-side but missed it, and the ball flicked his back pad on its way through before crashing into middle and off. Mulder celebrates. South Africa have five. 103/5 34.5 to JC Archer, another one goes, plucked by the diving Jansen! Archer connected well with his swipe across the line but it was in the air for a good distance, allowing the Proteas hightower to grab it in both hands going low to his left at midwicket. Second for Mulder, England eight down. 171/8 38.2 to AU Rashid, Red Rover. Rashid nicks behind, and England have been bowled out with almost 12 overs left on the table. Mulder finishes it off, length in the channel and a thin edge as he pushed away from his body. SA are also definitely through to the semis, even if they lose - with no margin of defeat enough to take Afghanistan above them on NRR. 179/10

16.5 to HC Brook, wondercatch at deep midwicket! Angling into Brook's arc, and he looks to belt Maharaj over midwicket. He nearly gets away with it, the breeze carrying the ball towards the boundary as it hung in the air, but Jansen keeps on chasing after it and takes a blinder. He ran around a long way from long-on, dived to his right, and slid onto his knees and he got it. Covered 28 metres per the TV broadcast. 99/4 20.4 to LS Livingstone, dreadful batting. Well bowled from Maharaj, who saw Livingstone coming, tossed this up and turned it sharply to beat the outside edge. But this is seriously ugly from Livingstone, charging down and looking to belt the left-arm spinner for six. He had a rare chance to build a long innings, but lost patience within 15 balls. Easy stumping for Klaasen. 114/6 |

2.1 to T Stubbs, played on! Stubbs falls for a duck. Back of a length, tight line in the channel. Stubbs looked to play late with an open face, trying to dab down to deep third to get off the mark, but the ball got big on him and he only managed to reflect it into his own stumps via the inside edge. Archer barely celebrates. 11/1 8.2 to RD Rickelton, clonk! The nip-backer plan finally comes to fruition. Pitched up, angling in from around the wicket then zipping further in off the seam. Through Rickelton, and thuds into middle stump halfway up. Not quite the full pint, but pegs the stump right back, keeping lowish to shoot under the toe. Archer roars in celebration. 47/2

28.4 to H Klaasen, sliced to short third! Klaasen winds up for the winning hit... but can only manage a thick outside edge that loops to Mahmood jogging forwards inside the ring. England break the stand at 127 from 122 balls. But it's probably too late. 174/3
