2.4 to RR Hendricks, goes to slog sweep and the Zing bails and stumps light up. Hendricks was bogged down, tried to play a release shot after being unable to access the off side and misses a flighted ball full on middle stump. The length was right for the shot but he had no touch his entire time at the crease.. 15/1

11.2 to Q de Kock, chipped to long-on! Rashid makes the breakthrough for England, after a solid second-wicket stand. QdK has his best score of the tournament, but he would have wanted to go on... in the end, a mishit down the ground flew hard and flat to Roy running around. 86/2

5.3 to JC Buttler, slower length ball on fifth stump, driven to Bavuma at mid-off. Nortje took some steam off this with a legcutter at 133 kph, causes Buttler to mistime this and it flutters toward Bavuma just barely carrying as he stretched forward to claim this at ankle height on the ring.. 58/1

19.1 to CR Woakes, heaved leg side... but he's not quite got enough! Nortje is the man running around at deep midwicket and he holds a slightly awkward catch under pressure. There's a lengthy check for the no-ball, but Rabada's foot is okay. Well held by the big man, clutching it to his chest as he thundered around a few inches in front of the rope. 176/6 19.2 to EJG Morgan, picks out deep backward square leg! Two in two for Rabada, and South Africa look like holding their nerve here... Pace off that delivery, I think, and Morgan underclubbed it trying to hit to the longer part of the ground. 176/7 19.3 to CJ Jordan, HAT-TRICK! Clubbed to long-off! Third hat-trick of the tournament, and Rabada is laughing - all three of them caught in the deep, but never mind that. Another slower delivery, and England have taken a vow to going down swinging. Jordan stands still and plops it into the safe hands of Miller coming in. 176/8

6.2 to JM Bairstow, back of a length on leg stump straightens and skids on with Bairstow missing a back foot flick, big shout upheld! Bairstow goes for DRS immediately. Main doubt was whether it pitched in line with leg stump or not. Definitely no bat and was hitting the stumps. Three reds light up on ball-tracking. Bairstow burns a review. Awfully quick trigger by him going for a review on what was a stone dead decision.. 59/2 12.2 to MM Ali, pushed through and Moeen holes out this time! Tried to repeat the trick but couldn't get under this, pounded hard but flat, straight into the safe hands of Miller on the rope at long-on! Moeen's brief is to take down spin, and he's fallen on his sword going after Shamsi. 110/3

16.2 to DJ Malan, miscues a slog at a slower ball... caught just outside the ring! Rabada is the man, no time to brood on his previous over, he circles around from short third and takes it well coming down over his shoulder. SA still scrapping to win this. 145/4 18.1 to LS Livingstone, goes big, but picks out long-off! Back-of-the-hand slower ball from Pretorius and Livingstone can't quite generate enough power, it went pretty high but not far enough and Miller settles under the catch a few yards in from the boundary. 165/5 |
