Bowls full around leg, and Jacks tries to clip it over backward square leg, but ends up dragging the shot more towards short fine leg. Sliced to Curran lurking near long on. 238/5 19.4 to MK Lomror, Harshal moves to No. 1 on the purple cap list as Lomror's off-stump gets knocked back. Dipping slower-ball yorker, with the line closer to off stump this time. Lomror swings across the line, ball sneaks under the bat, and the bails get splayed. 240/6 19.6 to C Green, full quick ball angling into Green. He fails to get under it totally but still manages to smack it to long on's right. However the fielder runs to his right, puts in a dive, and this time it is taken. Harshal picks out deep backward square leg, well held by Ferguson as he steadied himself out by the rope. A limp swipe and the ball nearly dies on Karn Sharma has he stumbles in to complete the catch. From mid-off, he senses the ball will go over his head, so he turns with his face away from the action, and then tracks the ball coming over his shoulder, before diving full stretch to take a catch. Overpitched ball outside off and Bairstow tried to loft it over the infield, but the ball came off the bat's toe. Important breakthrough. 71/2 15.3 to SM Curran, kerrrrrrrr-splat! Off stump out of the ground, RCB closing in. Not a great ball, it sits up to be hit but there's no timing and it ends up being a simple take for Jacks a few yards in. Karn roars and punches the air in celebration - and why not? It was a lovely bit of bowling.
