12.3 to ADS Fletcher, straight to long on! Pathirana gets the breakthrough the Vipers wanted! Length delivery outside off stump that just sticks in the surface a touch. Fletcher tries to muscle it over long on but ends up picking out the sweeper to perfection!. 141/1

14.2 to Muhammad Waseem, gone this time! The ploy to bowl short and wide has worked! Another delivery well outside Waseem's hitting arc. He tries to carve it over deep point and while he gets a good chunk of it, he neither gets the requisite power or the elevation to clear the sweeper. Straight down his throat, and that brings to an end a scintillating knock!. 152/2 14.4 to Najibullah Zadran, what a grab but the umpire has not given it out! Back of a length delivery that climbs onto Zadran and tucks him up for room. He tries to swing it away and seems to glove it. The ball then floats to Billings' left, who balances himself and takes a superb one-handed catch. The Vipers review, because, of course they have to! There is no glove involved because, well....that has come right off the toe-end of the bat! Two wickets in the over for Curran!. 152/3

2.1 to AD Hales, is there a nick? Yes, there is! Hales has to walk back! Back of a length delivery on middle and leg stump that swerves into Hales very late. He backs away and has a waft at it. Everyone on the field, including the umpire and the batter think that Hales has gotten a tickle to it but replays suggest the ball might have clipped the top of the stumps on its way to the keeper as well. We will need replays to confirm, though. Hales did not review it, and the Vipers are two down!. 14/2
3 | 0 | 13 | 3 | 4.33 | 12 | 1 | 0 | 3 | 0 | |
1.1 to Rohan Mustafa, and he knocks over Mustafa first ball! Length delivery just outside off stump that nips back into the batter ever so slightly. Mustafa advances, does not really pick what the ball is doing and swings wildly. The ball goes past the bat and thuds into the top of off stump!. 9/1 3.6 to C Munro, edged and taken! No need for DRS this time! Length delivery outside off stump that zips through. Munro has a slog across the line and gets a feather through to the keeper. Farooqi is pumped, and the Vipers are on the ropes now!. 33/3 5.6 to BAC Howell, straight down third man's throat! Back of a length delivery outside off stump. Howell stays leg side of the ball and offers catching practice to the fielder stationed at third man. He got into a bit of an awkward position to take the catch but ensured the job was done!. 47/6

4.2 to SW Billings, chops it on! Length delivery outside off stump. Billings looks to access the leg side again but this time, loses a bit of shape. He tugs at it and ends up chopping it onto his stumps! Zahoor looks up to the heavens, and Billings looks back at the mess his stumps are in!. 37/4 4.4 to SE Rutherford, straight to deep square leg! Zahoor mastering the art of going for a boundary and then taking a wicket! Full and angled into the stumps. Rutherford looks to heave it over deep square leg but chunks it off the inner half of the bat. The ball arrows towards deep square leg, where the fielder does the rest!. 41/5

10.5 to M Pathirana, Tahir gets his man! Another wrong'un on a length on middle and leg stump. Pathirana is looking to tonk that into next week but does not pick the googly at all. The ball beats the bat and he hears the death rattle soon after!. 75/9 12.1 to MRJ Watt, that will be that! Fired into the track on middle and leg stump. Watt skips down the track and looks to go inside out. He gets too close to the ball, though, and does not have enough room to work with either. In the end, he slices it straight to Boult at short extra cover. 84/10

7.3 to TK Curran, cleans him up! Length delivery in the channel that nips back sharply. Curran has no clue about it and has a hopeful waft at it. The ball breezes past the inside edge and smashes into the top of off stump!. 60/7

9.1 to L Wood, and he picks up a wicket with his first ball! Fired into the batter on a length on middle and leg stump. Wood opts to stay back and also plays for the turn. The ball comes in with the angle, goes past the stumps and thunders into the stumps!. 66/8 |
