2.4 to SS Iyer, off stump goes cartwheeling, and Khaleel has produced an absolute corker to take down the PBKS captain! Khaleel is absolutely pumped, and why wouldn't he be. This starts on a fullish length just outside off and then swerves back in sharply. Shreyas looks to drive down the ground and is all at sea as the ball whistles past his inside edge. Off stump left in an absolute mess, and CSK have two wickets in two overs now!. 32/2 4.6 to MP Stoinis, in the air again, and this time, CSK do hold on! Khaleel glides like an airplane while staring down Stoinis, and CSK have three in the powerplay! Back of a length in the channel and this one nips away with the angle. Stoinis was probably playing for the ball coming in, and closed his bat face too early, trying to work to leg. Tame leading edge and Conway makes no mistake at backward point. 1.2 to Prabhsimran Singh, chopped on, and Choudhary has instant redemption! Back of a length just outside off and this curves back in late. Prabhsimran, going walkabouts down the track, looks to dab it away but the lack of room does for him. Gets a thick inside edge and finds his leg stump flattened soon after. 7.2 to N Wadhera, goes straight up, and Dhoni was not going to drop that! Not in a million years! Fired across the batter on a length outside off. Wadhera swings his blade like an axe and while he might have scythed through a tree, he cannot get purchase on this. Only gets height, that too off the outside half of the bat, and Dhoni calls early to do the rest. Ashwin is pleased, and Wadhera has to walk back!. 81/4 7.6 to GJ Maxwell, Ashwin pulls off a stunner off his own bowling, and now he is properly overjoyed! Carrom ball, slowed up on a length on the stumps. Maxwell backs away, trying to blast that through Ashwin. Picks Ashwin out to perfection and the bowler, after a bit of a bobble, holds on. 13.4 to P Arya, taken on the fence, and the Priyansh Arya show is over! But what a show it was! Breathtaking at every moment, and just as belligerent to knock the stuffing out of CSK! Tossed up full just outside off. Seems like the googly and this cramps Arya a little as he tries to slog it over long on. Off the inside half of the bat and Shankar snares the chance at long on. A standing ovation as Arya walks off, and pretty sure there will be countless people at home standing in front of their TV sets and phone/laptop screens doing the same!. 154/6 | ||||||||||
