2.1 to TL Seifert, Edged and taken! MI New York on fire! How often Trent Boult gets these early wickets? Such a coveted asset for any team and is still a potent force especially in the powerplay. Gets the big fish throwing his bat for a cut and he doesn't middle it, neatly eaten by the keeper!. 9/2 4.1 to J Fraser-McGurk, Unicorns are already staring into the abyss and MI New York are all smiles! Shorter length and gets some away gyration in the channel, he flirts with danger and the ball just kissed the outside edge, taken calmly by de Kock. The celebrations are wild. 16/4
4 | 0 | 43 | 2 | 10.75 | 10 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 1 | |
1.4 to MW Short, Kenjige produces magic on the big evening! The move works, lots of revs, bit short on middle, tries to press his case and shimmies down leg to whack it down the ground again and hasn't timed it at all, taken by Bracewell at mid-off who took a step back and lifted both his hands to hang onto it brilliantly, he wanted to take on the spinner and was itching to go big. 7/1 3.6 to SP Krishnamurthi, Boult finally hangs onto it after a juggling effort, was backtracking at short third and almost made a mess of it but all's well that ends well, got it in his third attempt. Kenjige, you beauty, he has done this before in the big matches of prior editions of MLC. Million dollars move to introduce him in the powerplay, this was another irksome delivery on a length with plenty of revs and spun away from off, he slices it in the air. 16/3

8.5 to C Connolly, Goes short on middle, stand and deliver smack goes straight into the hands of the fielder at deep square who didn't have to move a muscle to swallow it down his throat, hit into the breeze and it's a longer boundary, Patel makes no mistake and takes a cool catch, got a start and will be gutted with himself to throw his wicket away at such a critical juncture further plunging his team into crisis. 42/6
3.1 | 0 | 19 | 3 | 6.00 | 8 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
11.4 to Hammad Azam, Just when they were trying to build a partnership, Azam plays a rash shot, moment of brain freeze and is unable to unchain himself, trying to force a pull down the ground and in the process edging it to de Kock who mockingly has his hands on his face. New York didn't need to break a sweat to get to this dominant position. 62/7 16.6 to BL Couch, gone! Another shortish leg-cutter outside off, he backs away and throws his bat at it, healthy edge flies away and finds a nest in the hands of Luus who was stationed at third man. 121/8 19.1 to LE Plunkett, Miscues the skier! Hits it into the pitch on a shorter length, a tennis ball short delivery outside off, manufactures pace for himself, backs away and whacks it downtown but hasn't got enough force and elevation, pouched at long-on, bowled out for 131. 131/10
2 | 0 | 11 | 1 | 5.50 | 7 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
17.1 to XC Bartlett, gets the prized scalp, back to back big wickets, shorter in length and doesn't offer pace, lofted it and found the man at wide mid-on, he cannot believe what he has done, was trying to get some big overs. 121/9 |

13.4 to KA Pollard, body weight leans back as he shuffles across to punch it down to the fielder at long-on, little movement across to find a vacant region but he ends up lifting it straight to McGurk who overran a bit but then flicks his right hand out to snaffle it. Unicorns are right back in this contest! Pressure is telling as MI New York loses their fourth wicket. 92/4

6.2 to Q de Kock, That looks plumb and the umpire didn't hesitate at all in raising the finger. Length ball cuts back in sharply towards middle and hits his back pad as he tried to execute a late cut. No bat involved and he is already walking off. Pitching outside off, impact in line and hitting the middle pole on the center, big wicket, need more to stay alive but de Kock succesded in giving a stable start while chasing a low total. 43/1 6.6 to N Pooran, Such a marvelous delivery! Undone him with his sheer accuracy and cunning change in pace, deceptive stuff. Good length and drifts in late going through the gap between bat and pad, hitting the top of middle and goes without saying how big this wicket is. Getting interesting, two quick wickets!. 45/2 12.1 to MD Patel, around the wicket, on a length and it's a harmless delivery speared down leg and Monank tries to make full use of it and ends up mistiming the pull off the backfoot, finding deep square to perfection and is absolutely livid with himself, punching his bat in frustration. It's Unicorns chance to tighten the screws and get an upper hand on this game, window is wide open now. 81/3

14.4 to MG Bracewell, that kept low and disturbed the furniture! drifting, gripping and turning just enough to beat his ambitious swing, played down the wrong line and the zingers are lit up much to the delight of Hassan and his compatriots. Worried looks in the MI camp, Pooran looks concerned while chewing gum. 98/5 14.5 to H Richards, sits deep in the crease and tries to figure out the vicious away turn, what an incredible follow-up, this is exactly what the doctor prescribed for Unicorns. Oh gosh, what a delivery, on a length at an irksome off-stump line, faint edge and a sharp catch by the keeper, stunned looks and long faces in MI camp, how quickly things have turned and it's great that the rain abated otherwise we would have been robbed of a cracking contest. Throughout the innings there's been this element of unsurity and lack of conviction from the batters and dread of a looming disaster. 98/6 16.2 to Tajinder Singh, Wow, this is amazing! What an incredible spell of bowling, he has changed the complexion of the game completely in the space of two overs. Beautiful flight, dip, revs and turned away just enough outside off to kiss the outside edge, another sharp catch from the seasoned wicketkeeper Seifert and Unicorns are right on top!. 107/7 16.5 to T Luus, he has used the conditions pretty well. Lobbed on a length and outside off and another one bites the dust, they are shooting themselves in the foot and Pooran in the dugout cannot fathom what's going on out there, what a surrender. He larrups it in the air and is gobbled at long off, this is a collapse of epic proportions! 4-15, splendid figures. 108/8
