6.3 to RG Sharma, top of leg. Done in by seam. Rohit trying to hit them off their length by charging down, but this wobble-seam ball nips back in appreciably to hit the wicket. A huge roar from the crowd. It is Virat Kohli coming in at 3. 9/1
13.231551.12680000
9.4 to SN Khan, stunner at mid-off. Sarfaraz tries to counterattack, looks to go down the ground, ends up mis-hitting but mid-off is wide as it usually is in such conditions. Conways sticks out his right hand, diving, and grabs this with the ball past his body. 10/3
23.5 to RA Jadeja, Loops up to point via a soft leading edge. Another catch for Ajaz at point. Good length and on leg stump, Jadeja aims to flick it over the leg side, but is a bit early onto the shot. Henry now generates some extra bounce and has Jadeja flapping a catch to point. 34/6
23.6 to R Ashwin, the 36 all out is still on. Henry is on a hat-trick. This is the perfect ball. On a good length, just outside off, Ashwin has to play at it. The ball nips away and kicks off, takes the shoulder off the bat, and an easy catch at gully. 34/7
25.3 to RR Pant, this is the big blow. The metronomic Henry strikes again. On a length, just nibbling it enough. Wobble seam, around leg, on a length, makes him play, nips away, takes the edge, and second slip does the rest. 39/8
31.2 to Kuldeep Yadav, well deserved fifth wicket and 100 across his Test career! Matt Henry has been sensational for New Zealand - all through his career, even when he was surplus to requirements with Southee and Boult and Wagner commanding their spots in the XI. He never gave up and now he has a five-for in India against India, who are bowled out for 46, their lowest total at home! The wicket happens with a back of a length ball that lures Kuldeep, for once, to play away from the body and the outside edge goes to gully's left, where the sub fielder Bracewell dives and picks up a blinder.. 46/10
1262241.83653021
8.6 to V Kohli, leg gully claiming the catch. This will go to the third umpire. Jabs back in a long way from short of a length, takes the top glove, Phillips dives forward to take a superb and a clean catch. O'Rourke has struck in his first over in India. Sounds like a morgue at Chinnaswamy. 9/2
20.5 to YBK Jaiswal, short, wide, taken at point! No mistake from Ajaz here. Short, wide, Jaiswal was itching to break free. He cuts it firmly but can't keep it down. Ajaz snags a low catch. India are four down. Could've been five down had Blundell not dropped Pant. 31/4
22.4 to KL Rahul, Will O'Rourke is making a serious impression in his first Test in India. O'Rourke ventures wide of the crease and gets it to drift down the leg side. Much fuller in length. With GP in place at leg gully/leg slip, it's the bluff. Rahul does not get enough bat on ball. He can only deflect it behind to the keeper. Blundell holds onto this. Another opportunity missed for Rahul in Test cricket. 33/5
26.2 to JJ Bumrah, Henry is doing everything. Not only is he bowling like a machine, he has taken a superb diving catch in the deep. Bumrah doesn't fancy defending much, the ball nips back in towards his head, Bumrah throws his bat at it, gets a top edge towards deep square leg. Henry runs to his left from fine leg and puts in the final dive to complete the catch. That's a full-on sprint that Henry has put in. 40/9

57.4 to TA Blundell, you can't keep him down for long. Bumrah and Siraj have been superb this morning. Now Bumrah gets rewarded. Just stays in the good-length band with slight nibble either way. This one just holds its line a little and hits Blundell's defensive bat high and on the outside edge. Nice catching height for second slip. 204/5
1828424.667712200
54.6 to DJ Mitchell, Jaiswal has hurt his finger but he has taken the catch at gully. A loose shot from Mitchell, but Siraj will say he has earned it with some testing bowling this morning. Mitchell has been kept on a leash. He sees a hint of width here, and plays the back-foot punch. All he manages is a thick edge that settles with Jaiswal at gully. It might have swerved late as Jaiswal is in pain at being hit on the edge of the fingers. 193/4
86.4 to TG Southee, slower ball does it for Southee. His personal best remains the 77 he scored in his first Test. He picks the slower ball late, and still wants to go aerial into the off side. Sends it only as far as cover, but he has done his job. 370/8
1619415.87589500
39.1 to DP Conway, No hundred for Conway. Tossed up and full from round the stumps, the ball dips, creating distance between the bat and the pitch. Conway dares to reverse-sweep from the stumps again, does not meet with the ball this time. The ball crashes into the stumps and Conway falls nine short of a hundred. 154/3
18.319935.357010420
17.1 to TWM Latham, another huge lbw appeal but its not given on field and Kuldeep has once again convinced his captain for a second opinion. This looked real close though. Gorgeous drift into the left-hander. So much that Latham, who is an expert against spin bowling, is left to play down the wrong line. He is defending outside the ball, which pitches real full and almost goes straight, past the inside edge to hit low on the front pad. Hawk-Eye reveals three reds and Reiffel overturns his earlier call. Excellent work from Kuldeep, both with the ball and in making sure he didn't let the last review affect his thought process about this one. 67/1
89.5 to AY Patel, he has got the decision finally with another wrong'un, but Patel has reviewed immediately suggesting there might be an inside edge. Replays show he has ht it but well after the ball has hit the pad. He is caught dead in front on the back foot, and is gone. 384/9
91.3 to R Ravindra, Ravindra goes for another six, but this time he top-edges a sweep behind to Jurel, who is subbing for Pant. End of a stellar innings from Ravindra. Rahul and a number of other India players walk up to him and congratulate him. Looped up and slightly wider of off with some bounce, Ravindra drops down to one knee for a slog-sweep but does not get hold of it. He can only splice it behind to the keeper. 402/10
2017233.60787100
36.3 to WA Young, that dropped chance off Young hasn't cost them much. Part of credit goes to Rohit. The extra catching man means one man fewer on the leg side. Young takes the temptation to sweep, Jadeja gets turn and bounce, and the top edge settles with short fine leg. New Zealand lead by 100. 142/2
62.3 to GD Phillips, Phillips' uncertain stay at the wicket ends. He has not looked comfortable at all. Phillips stays back to a fullish ball, which skids on, hits his pad and then the middle stump. 223/6
64.5 to MJ Henry, 4,4 and wicket! Faster, flatter, quicker, skidding in from left-arm around at 96ks, Henry swings for the hills with no feet and misses it. Jadeja has the ball crashing into middle and leg. India keep chipping away at NZ on the third morning. 233/7

84.1 to SN Khan, 150 and out for Sarfaraz! He wanted to continue pressing the gas but the bat face opened upon impact and he holed out to catching cover. It was a 129ks outswinger, shaping away towards fourth stump. Sarfaraz charged and had a bit of room, but wasn't close enough to the length, he nonetheless committed to the lofted cover drive but holed out. First wicket of the day!. 408/4
24.3310234.169914101
97.3 to R Ashwin, stays low, nips back in, and Reifell has raised his finger in a hurry. Ashwin reviews it. Is it doing too much? This one nips back in fromt short of a length and hits him on the flap of the pad. Hawk-Eye returns an umpire's call on the top of leg stump. Huge wicket for New Zealand. 458/8
99.1 to JJ Bumrah, and Henry takes one more. Bumrah is half-forward to defend a length ball, it holds its line, takes a healthy edge, and Blundell makes no mistake. 462/9
99.3 to Mohammed Siraj, Sraj is out for the first time this home season. Dug in short, Siraj pulls hard, middles it, but mid-on is close and wide. It has come fast at Southee and at an awkward height. He takes it even as he tumbles over. 462/10
2149234.388613110
88.1 to RR Pant, Chopped on, Pant falls for 99. A tame dismissal and he walks off with an expression-less face. The rumbles in the crowd died into a silence and then they broke into an applause. Was a back of lengther that cut back off the seam and got some extra bounce and that's what found the edge. He wanted to square drive it, a punch specifically, with a vertical bat. The back leg levitated but he couldn't ride the bounce. Time stopped for him, just a touch too late, perfect time for O'Rourke though, whose move to go around the wicket works the magic. 433/5
90.2 to KL Rahul, O'Rourke in with a brute of a ball to get Rahul. It was set up by the jaffa last ball, Rahul was now caught on the back foot and the ball tickled ball while he was in the middle of a tentative leave. Keeper did the rest. 139ks, heart of a good length, line was around fourth stump. Rahul was trying to do that thing where he looks like he's shaping to defend but is actually leaving by hiding the bat. This ball ensured there was no place to hide.. 438/6
92.3 to RA Jadeja, oh the luck has turned for New Zealand. This is a short ball that doesn't get up. Midriff high long hop, which Jadeja has nailed with the pull, but he has found the man at square leg to perfection. Actually he hasn't nailed it. It has come off the toe-end of the bat. How Tests turn. Now it's Ashwin and the tail. 441/7
18310025.556910500
17.1 to YBK Jaiswal, oh what mockers I have put on them. Jaiswal lives by the sword, dies by it. Charges at Ajaz early, who stays on a length and the ball doesn't turn to miss the outside edge. Blundell does the rest. A big cheer from the crowd for the next man in. 72/1
21.5 to RG Sharma, unfortunate. But also slightly lazy. Should he have been awake to the ball rolling back and kick it away? Rohit defends on the front foot, the ball bounces in the crease and spins back onto the stumps. He does look back to see where the ball has gone but he has lost it behind his body. Need to watch more replays to see if he has the time to spot the danger and kick the ball away. A wry smile on Rohit's face. He doesn't look early enough to see where the ball has gone, but I don't think he has the time to kick it away even if he spots it. This has topspun off the defence. 95/2
1526914.60498000
48.6 to V Kohli, GP takes out Kohli off the last ball! GP was celebrating even before the umpire gave it out. Kohli, however, suggests that he didn't nick it and has called for a review of Gough's on-field out decision. The ball seems very close to the outside edge. Yes, it has shaved the outside edge. UltraEdge detects a spike. Kohli has to go. GP can continue the celebrations. What a play. After having got the ball to turn into the right-hander, GP challenges the outside edge with a quick non-turner at 101ks and finds some bounce. Kohli pokes at it and edges it behind to the keeper. 231/3

0.6 to TWM Latham, given as this swings back in, and Latham reviews. Height might be interesting here. The crowd is loud and they all appealed. Oh this is swing and seam both. Unplayable. Latham has the inswinger covered, but it lands and moves in further to beat the inside edge. And the height is pretty good as this has skidded on. Plumb in front. 0/1
12.3 to DP Conway, that is close. Huge huge shout from Bumrah. He is suspecting an umpire's call so he is desperate to get on the field. He doesn't. India review it anyway. This one has swung after pitching. It is a nasty delivery. The ball angles/seams in, Conway covers the line, but it swings away after pitching and before meeting Conway. Beats the outside edge, gets him on the back pad, and it has impacted him in line and is also taking the off stump out. India stay alive. This is nigh unplayable. 35/2
