48.6 to KD Mills, timber! Mills is backing away even before the ball is bowled. Bracken notices it and bowls a yorker on the middle stump. Mills has a swing and there is only place where the ball can go- stumps- if he misses and it does go there. 235/8
10 | 0 | 56 | 1 | 5.60 | 34 | 5 | 1 | 3 | 0 | |
41.4 to NT Broom, it's all over for Broom. Hilfenhaus, pitches it short and Broom, spontaneously goes for the pull and ends up top edging it to Hopes, stationed at cover. Just when it looked like a partnership was coming on, a wicket falls. 173/6
10 | 0 | 51 | 3 | 5.10 | 33 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
17.5 to MJ Guptill, gone! Johnson pitches one short on the middle and leg stump this time around and hurries Guptill into the stroke. He manages to get some wood on the ball as he pulls it straight into the hands of Bracken, positioned at fine-leg exactly for this. 69/1 33.6 to GD Elliott, short on the middle stump. Elliot does the pre-meditated shuffle and swats it in the gap between fine-leg and sweeper on the leg side. David Hussey, covers a lot of ground as he takes a good catch. It was more of a good catch from Hussey than a poor shot from Elliot. 141/4 47.5 to LRPL Taylor, gone! Full-toss on the off stump. Taylor, moves across and looks to get cheeky as he wants to paddle it to fine-leg but the ball comes in faster than he expects. Taylor, manages to get a top edge which flies high. Haddin is calling for it right from the moment it flew and takes the catch. 226/7
10 | 1 | 37 | 2 | 3.70 | 34 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
21.4 to PG Fulton, one more! Fulton falls now as he does not manage to keep the ball down as he plays an intended drive on the off side to Bracken at mid-on and Kiwis slip further now. 83/2 34.6 to CD Cumming, gone! Cumming just manages to chip it to mid-off, where Johnson takes a straight-forward catch. It means Cumming has fluffed his chances in his first ODI in four years. Australia are in the driver's seat now. 141/5
8 | 0 | 23 | 1 | 2.87 | 27 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
22.6 to BB McCullum, timber! McCullum is beaten by the arm ball on the run. He comes down the track in an attempt to loft it away but is beaten by the arm ball pitching on the middle stump and finds his leg stump displaced. This is even more bad news as two wickets fall in two overs. 86/3

14.5 to RT Ponting, and for the umpteenth time this summer we see Ponting top-edging a pull shot. Only difference this time being he does it to the cover fielder as Guptill takes it comfortably. Ever heard of a strength turning into a weakness. 57/2

5.4 to MJ Clarke, and the bowling change works! O'Brein bowls one on the off stump. Clarke, drives it on the up and ends up spooning an easy catch to Fulton at short cover. Fulton, has been an exceptional fielder close-in. 29/1 44.2 to DJ Hussey, fuller on the off stump and cutting in. He is making room to play it away on the off-side and goes for his shot a little too early as the stumps are re-arranged. 216/4
