70.2 to TM Head, edged, taken at second slip! Super catch. Big moment. Full and wide outside off, Head can't resist the drive, it's a thick edge and grab leaping to the left by Salman. Head's bottom hand came off the bat as he reached for it. 204/4 82.2 to AT Carey, Crackerjack! Wow, what a comeback after a loose delivery! Bowls an absolute jaffa on a slightly shorter length and gets some late lateral movement back into the right-hander; Alex Carey goes for an expansive drive through the covers, playing away from his body and gets an inside edge to Rizwan who takes an absolute blinder diving low to his right and making sure to pouch that before it died down the ground. Wonderful bowling!. 260/6

85.5 to MA Starc, Edged and taken Dug in short and gets it to rise steeply off the deck in the channel outside off, extra bounce and the outside edge is safely snaffled by Agha Salman in the slip cordon - he is safe as a house there. Magnificent catch!. 275/7 89.1 to MR Marsh, Huge breakthrough! Flings it on a shorter length and there is plenty of width to work with, hits the ball harder than me hitting the snooze button earlier today, uppishly mistimed to Aamir Jamal at backward point who reverse cups it just over his head; brilliant reflexes and he looks a bit stunned but that's a stunning catch in the end. Wickets are tumbling!. 286/8
23.5 | 7 | 61 | 2 | 2.55 | 114 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
33.1 to UT Khawaja, Edged and taken! Huge breakthrough Usman Khawaja flings the bat out, and the outside edge is drawn. Back of a length with a hint of wobble outside off, he tried to deflect it away from the cordon but ended up giving a simple catch to Salman in the slips who hangs onto it brilliantly, gobbles it up down his throat. So both openers back in the hut and Hasan Ali leaps in jubilation, brings out the generator celebration.. 108/2 96.5 to NM Lyon, That one hung in the air for a while and Mir Hamza takes a few steps to his right at long leg and swooped like a shooting star to take a fantastic tumbling catch; that's his second great catch in the deep. It was short delivery and he took the bait, went hard at it, didn't get all of it while playing the hook and Australia are all-out on 318. A brilliant session for Pakistan; they kept chipping in and bowled with great aggression and vigour.. 318/10

57.5 to SPD Smith, Beaten? Is there a feather? Huge appeal from the slip cordon and Pakistan have opted for the review. Jamal bowls it on a length just outside off and gets it to move away ever-so slightly. Smith goes back to defend but pushes at it. Now, has he nicked that? A tinyyyy mark on HotSpot there. What does Snicko show? A spike as the ball passes the bat and Smith is out of here. Good use of the review and finally Pakistan have broken through. The 147-ball partnership is broken at 46. 154/3 79.5 to M Labuschagne, edged, taken at first slip! What a moment. In the channel at off stump, Labuschagne had to play, straightens to take the edge, he gets squared up, and this time a comfortable catch is taken. One ball before the newy is due.. 250/5 95.1 to PJ Cummins, Thumped on a length outside off, he launches the ball straight into the hands of Mir Hamza who came charging in from the rope at deep backward square and took a superb tumbling catch. Fielding has been exceptional today; massive improvement from yesterday and after that drop from Shafique.. 308/9
5 | 0 | 22 | 1 | 4.40 | 18 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
27.1 to DA Warner, Salman strikes at the stroke of lunch! Something to cheer for Pakistan. The food will taste that much better for them. A nothing shot from Warner, who didn't really look comfortable in the middle today. Tossed up ball well outside off, perhaps on the seventh stump line. Bounces more after it lands on a fuller-than-good length. Warner's weight is on the back foot but he looks to thrash it away from the body. Gets a thick outside edge that Babar grabs at first slip. Pakistan have broken through but they won't just have a chance to bowl to a new batter. 90/1 |

44.4 to Saud Shakeel, through him! What a delivery. Brilliant from Hazlewood. Good length, nips between bat and pad, takes the top of off stump. Another gem from an Aussie quick. 151/5

34.6 to Abdullah Shafique, And there's the wicket Australia were looking for! Pat Cummins finds a way to break this ominous-looking partnership, Good length delivery that swerved back and Abdullah Shafique lunged forward, pushed at it a little too early and Pat Cummins takes an absolute screamer in his follow through, held onto the catch brilliantly. That's a stunning one-handed grab!. 124/2 36.3 to Babar Azam, Disturbs the furniture with a spectacular delivery! Bowls an absolute peach on back-of-a-length just outside off and gets just enough inward seam movement to go through his defence! Babar looks completely puzzled by that delivery, staring at the crease. A massive breakthrough for Australia and they are right back in the game, got two wickets in no time. Supreme accuracy from Cummins!. 131/3 47.6 to Agha Salman, edged, caught behind! Cummins gets another. That was a very loose shot. Full outside off, driving away from his body, a bit of late movement. Regulation outside edge. 170/6 62.1 to Mohammad Rizwan, and he finds the man! Full and wide, he laces a drive but straight to the fielder catching on off side. Neat catch by Warner. Big moment. 215/7 72.5 to Hasan Ali, Cummins picks up his 10th five wicket haul in Tests with a beauty! Back of a length ball, jags back insanely off the deck and Hasan is trying to track the late movement but ends up leaving a big gap as the ball sneaks through the gate and rattles the stumps, bails flying everywhere. What an incredible delivery and the last man Mir Hamza will walk out. 255/9

15.4 to Imam-ul-Haq, Lyon produces first bit of magic in the second Test! He provides the breakthrough Australia were looking for. Imam-ul-Haq edges one to Marnus Labuschagne and Lyon is absolutely pumped up. Came round the wicket, tossed up fuller and it spun away little, he leans forward and had to play at it, got an outside edge and fielder took a very sharp low catch. Imam succumbs to the pressure. 34/1 41.5 to Shan Masood, oh no, he's carved it to point! Huge moment, awful for Pakistan. Tried to go over the top again, slices across it aiming towards mid-on, it takes a thick outside edge high into the off side, Marsh settles under it at point. Was looking straight into the sun. 147/4 69.2 to Shaheen Shah Afridi, Gets caught on the crease and is rapped on the pads; Lyon and co appeal in unison and successfully convince the umpire to raise the dreaded finger. Shaheen has reviewed it but I think it's pretty adjacent and Lyon has got plenty of things working in his favour. Well, there is no deflection on the snicko and no spot on the hotspot. Pitching outside off, impact in line and it's umpire's call, hitting the top of leg stump and Shaheen looks very despondent, slowly taking the long walk back into the pavilion. It was a gritty knock but Lyon is a master of his craft and uses his cunning spinning methods to befuddle Pakistan's vice captain. Important breakthrough for Australia. 240/8 73.5 to Mir Hamza, Throws the kitchen sink at it and lost his balance, swings for the grandstands but misses it completely, flummoxed by the prodigious turn outside off, his foot wasn't behind the line and Carey did well to whip off the bails quickly and that'll be the end of the innings. Maybe he should have gone with defensive tactics and brought Jamal on strike who was hitting the ball so well. 264/10

0.2 to UT Khawaja, Edged and taken! Perfect ball thatThat's exactly what the doctor ordered for Pakistan. This is a dream start for Pakistan! Shaheen Shah foxes Usman Khawaja with an absolute gem that lands on a shorter length and then zings away just outside off, he jams his bat down and gets a faint tickle to Rizwan who takes the regulation catch with no mistake. Pakistan celebrate, Australia put under pressure early on.. 0/1 2.6 to M Labuschagne, what drama! strangled down the leg side Shaheen gets his second on the last ball before lunch and Pakistan are over the moon! Shaheen leaps in jubilation. It was a teasing delivery on a length just outside leg stump, Labuschagne could't hold himself back and went chasing after it, got a feather edge to Rizwan and Australia lose their second!. 6/2 62.3 to SPD Smith, Another well-directed rising delivery in the channel induces a false shot, Steve Smith gets in a tangle and can't get out of the way, gloved it to Salman at gully and Smith fell into the trap, loses his wicket at the stroke of stumps. He looks very disconsolate; good setup though, should have tried the short ball ploy earlier maybe but better late than never. Smith took quite a while before starting to move back towards the hut. 187/6 68.5 to MA Starc, edge, held it at first slip! Full outside off, a flat-footed drive from Starc, carries at around shin height to Babar who takes it to his right. 209/7

5.1 to DA Warner, dragged on! Three down. Huge. Short of a length outside off, Warner goes for the pull, gets a bottom edge into the stumps. 16/3 5.2 to TM Head, oh boy, what's going on here?! He's cleaned up first ball. Full, swings back in, Head plays all around it and is castled. Lovely shape, but a bit loose from Head. 16/4 49.5 to MR Marsh, Corker of a delivery! Marsh falls in 90s and the crowd cannot believe it, Marsh cannot believe it! Salman Ali Agha takes a superb catch in the slips diving low to his right and making sure that it doesn't pop out. Nips away from short of a length and he goes feeling for it, Agha does the rest. Geoff Marsh and family are crestfallen but it was a brilliant game-changing knock. 169/5 84.1 to AT Carey, That one stays low; they appeal in unison for an lbw and the umpire agrees. Carey will review the lbw call. Pitched a touch short on middle and got slight inward seam movement, hotspot confirms their is no bat involed. Just nipped in a little, nothing on the snicko either. He was lunging at it in a bid to flick it away to midwicket, well three reds on the screen so that wraps up Australia'a innings. Players already on their way to the dressing room and didn't even wait for umpire's singla.. 262/10

76.3 to PJ Cummins, through him, given caught behind! Cummins has reviewed. Have to say, didn't hear anything. Good length, shaped back nicely past the inside edge. Nothing on Hot Spot. But there's a spike on Snicko! Cummins is gone. A very thin one, but a clear spike.. 237/8 78.6 to NM Lyon, cleaned up! Lovely delivery. Good length outside off, shapes back sharply past the inside edge and takes middle stump. 249/9

4.1 to Abdullah Shafique, There you go! Australia get their first breakthrough, pressure was building up and Shafique flings his bat out and the outside edge is drawn, Khawaja takes a sharp catch in the slips and Shafique has to take the long walk back into the pavilion. Short of a length ball that didn't do much off the turf and he tempted him to go for a square drive, should have left the ball but maybe the dots building up built pressure and he felt like he should go driving at it. Mistake but elation for Starc and company. 8/1 45.6 to Saud Shakeel, edged, taken! Was short outside off, Shakeel went for the cut, takes a big top edge and Carey jumps to take it above his head. This climbed so he was unable to get any control in the stroke. 162/5 67.1 to Agha Salman, Marsh snags one in the deep! Super stuff. Takes on the short ball and gets an edge that flies away to Mitchell Marsh at third man; he came charging in from deep and takes a stunning catch diving forward! Swung big but didn't control his bat and Salman's gritty resistance finally comes to an end.. 237/9 67.2 to Mir Hamza, What a snare! That finished off quickly, Starc picks back to back wickets and Australia win by 79 runs. A vicious rising delivery aimed at the body, he dangles his bat, looks away and ball grazed the edge, Smith charges in at slip and grabs an absolute stunner. 237/10

40.1 to Babar Azam, through him! What a ball. Is that the Test match? Good length, nips back between bat and pad, much like the first innings. He has attracted some good balls in this match, but Babar left a gap again. 146/4

14.3 to Imam-ul-Haq, this time he's given! Almost an action replay of ball one. Imam reviews. Nips back from round the wicket, Imam falling across it. What's the height like? Above the knee roll. Umpire's calls on clipping leg stump, but this one was given on field. 49/2 26.3 to Shan Masood, Nicked it! Gathering pace, eyes on the target, head very still, lands it on slightly shorter length and gets a hint of wobble outside off, he lunges forward, pushes at it and finds an edge that goes straight Steve Smith in the slips. Pat Cummins wins the battle and Pakistan captain departs for a well-fought 60; he gets an applause from the crowd, including his family, his father is in the stands. Just when Pakistan were looking comfortable, Cummins produces the good!. 110/3 60.4 to Mohammad Rizwan, Cummins appealing for a caught behind but the umpire shakes his head. An intimidating lifter on middle, tries to get away from the line and Cummins thinks he might have gloved it. Marnus is already celebrating as third umpire takes a look from different angles. Very close to the wrist band. That leaped at him and well hotspot shows no mark as Rizwan looked away from the ball in the last second. Rizwan is convinced he didn't get anything on it. Third umpire wants to look from the front-on angle. Tries to drop his wrists to get out of the way, third umpire reckons there is a spike as it passes the wristband so the on-field umpire has to change his decision and Rizwan cannot believe it and looks stunned but Cummins gets the crucial breakthrough! Well there was a lot of doubt and I am sure this dismissal will be discussed a lot and won't sit well with Pakistan fans. The wristband is considered part of the glove according to the third umpire. 219/6 62.6 to Aamer Jamal, Darts in a short of a length delivery on off, warily pushes at it and gets the splice of the bat and Cummins catches it calmly in his follow-through, that's another blow. 219/7 66.4 to Shaheen Shah Afridi, Once again it's that man again, Pat Cummins who provides another crucial breakthrough. The man, the myth, the legend, Cummins picks up second 10 wicket haul in 57 Test matches; it's been an incredible bowling display. Pitched short and got him in a tangle, he pokes at it gingerly and ball pops up in the air, Marnus gobbles it up gleefully at short leg. Australia cluster together in joy. 237/8
