Shorter and wide of off, lofts it over cover and they try to scamper back for the second, well out of the frame, Zeeshan removes the zingers in a flash and Bahawalpur Royals have won the first edition of Pakistan Junior League
Royals vs Sharks, Final at Lahore, PJL, Oct 21 2022 - Match Result
What scenes at Gaddafi Stadium! What a match we've had, Royals completely dominated the proceedings with an imposing total on the board. Sharks got off to a flier in the power-play but the bowlers kept chipping in with wickets and derailing their chase.
Royals have played like a well-oiled machine and their mentor Imran Tahir has been sensational throughout the tournament.
Shawaiz Irfan set the tone with his staggering 79-run knock, played all around the park and decimated Sharks' bowling attack. Thereon, Tayyab Arif provided the impetus to the innings with his blistering half-century and Nangeyalia Kharote's quickfire 47 got Royals past 200.
It was a well-knit bowling performance from Royals as consistent performers Arham Nawab and Mohammad Zeeshan bowled tight lines and provided timely wickets to stack the odds in their favor. The match was heading in one direction after the prized wicket of Shamyl Hussain and as the asking rate kept climbing, wickets fell in cluster.

Lobbed up, fuller on off, tapped down the ground
Round the wicket, length, sliding towards middle, swipes down the ground, long-on rushes to his right and stops the ball
Tight line, not easy to hit that away and it crashed onto the poles, misjudged the flight of the ball. Arham leaps in jubilation.
Tossed up, outside off, fails to connect
Loopy delivery on middle, whacks it down to long-on
Tossed up on a length around off, biffs it down the ground, superb effort in the field, Arham applauds it
Slower one, on off, lofts it over the bowler's head, hangs in the air, three fielders converging and it lands between them.
Bam! Shortish delivery, sits up nicely on off stump line for Ibrahim to mow it in the V, beats the fielders with ease, too little, too late
Fraction short and wide, in the air, but in the gap too at midwicket region
Slower variation, pitches it on a shorter length and it was plugging away in the corridor, goes for the full-blooded cut, ends up getting a nick and the keeper does the rest. Zeeshan is ecstatic, arms aloft
Chipped over the covers, got right under the ball and powered it away, came out of the sweet spot
Goes back and defends doggedly
Half-tracker on the hips, pulled away towards deep square as the fielder in the deep puts in an athletic dive and stops the ball
Good length, zinging in back at the batter who makes room and chips it over cover
Fraction short of a length, angled into middle and leg, was done in by the lack of pace, draws a top-edge as the batsman sets up for a hook, hands a simple catch to the keeper, Sharks staring into the abyss
Lifter, angled into off stump, goes for the pull looking a bit ungainly, dot
Inch-perfect leg-stump yorker, too good for Aftab
Round the wicket, good length, angled in from wide of off, throws his bat at it and it runs away to third man
Thumped! That's a marvelous shot, goes back, rides the bounce and clears the fence over square leg. Rousing stroke from Aftab
