44.2 to LD Chandimal, what a ball! Oh this is sensational! Pakistan have figured this pitch out and completely tied Sri Lanka up this session. This is classic Abbas - signs of maybe a comeback from his form slump. Slams it in at a length on a middle and off line, jags it away off the pitch and clips the top of off stump as Chandimal gets back in the crease to defend. It was a scrambled seam. Past the outside edge and cleaned up. Superb, just superb. 127/4

30.1 to FDM Karunaratne, that should be it, and is given! Given out leg before, to a full ball that seemed headed for the base of middle. Karunaratne has reviewed this. Bowled from fairly close to the stumps, and had the pace to beat the inside edge, as Karunaratne fell over, as he has a tendency to do, when flicking. That is hitting the base of leg stump, and Pakistan have that breakthrough. 96/1 84.3 to N Dickwella, taken at gully! He's kept on pushing away from the body and this time he pays for it. Length ball outside off, got the front leg half a stride across and jabbed at it away from the body. It sliced low to Babar at gully and he does well to get his fingers under that. 256/6

41.6 to BKG Mendis, got him! Top-class bowling! I said two balls ago that Mendis dug deep into the crease to protect himself from edging the outgoing delivery. This time he goes fishing away from his body on the front. Length ball again, marginally fuller, and draws Mendis into the drive. Late movement away and then off the seam as well. Foot nowhere close for the drive and the edge carries nicely through to the keeper. 120/3
27 | 5 | 92 | 2 | 3.40 | 121 | 14 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
35.3 to BOP Fernando, got him this time! Naseem has threatened with this ball a few times this session, and finally he strikes. Gets a ball to pitch on a good length, and just a touch of movement takes it away from Fernando, who gets drawn into poking his bat at it. Travels low to the right of Haris Sohail at first slip, and he moves swiftly to complete the catch. The two set batsmen have been dismissed. 109/2 63.4 to AD Mathews, taken at second slip! The first real attempt at a hard hit from Mathews, and he's lost his shape and just had a hack at a very wide length ball. Wanted to slap that through the covers, it absolutely flies to Shafiq's left at slip and he takes a very good reflex catch. That ball was travelling. 189/5

2.5 to Shan Masood, taps a full toss straight to mid-off! Yikes. I suppose you can put that down to a groggy mind from four days of gloom. It's a knee height full toss just outside off, all he has to do is caress that through the covers. He ends up simulating a catching practice session, straight into the body of the fielder. 3/1

31.5 to Azhar Ali, GONE! A soft dismissal for the captain, as he chips a short-of-a-length ball that stops a bit on him. Angled in from wide of the crease, and he ends up playing a check-drive straight into the midriff of short mid-wicket. Due reward for Kumara, who has looked threatening right from his first over!. 90/2
