0.3 to Z Crawley, edged, and snaffled brilliantly at third slip! That's a wonderful ball and an even better take! Crawley was turned inside-out, just back of a length again and such a perfectly tight line. A thick low edge off the splice, Athanaze dives forward and to his left and scoops up the offering. Now then!. 0/1
57.1 to OJ Pope, driven with hard hands, plucked at slip! Joseph hits the pitch hard, Pope climbs through the apparent width, but the ball gets big on him as it skews high to Hodge at first slip, who swallows the offering in both hands, leaping to his left. That all happened in oddly slow-motion. Not sure anyone quite expected the breakthrough, least of all Alzarri!. 281/5
88.3 to Shoaib Bashir, edged low to second slip where Holder takes another! Too good for Bashir, angling in from a good length and taking the outside edge. Much easier height for Holder this time, the ball settling in his big buckets. England, asked to bat first, are bowled out for 416 in a day... and yet it feels like they have left plenty of runs out there!. 416/10
1519026.005616020
29.3 to JE Root, wild from Root and Seales strikes! This was back of a length, wide of off stump, Root rocked back for a pull, made a horrible mess of it, and lobbed the simplest of chances to Alzarri Joseph at mid-on, who fumbles horrifically but holds on in one hand! Bizarre from Root, it's as though he realised it was the wrong shot halfway through and bailed out. 142/3
87.2 to CR Woakes, that's more like it! A loosener to start from Seales but this is much more threatening, a good-length ball which squares Woakes up and shapes away just a touch off the seam to take Woakes' outside edge as he gets up on his toes to defend. It skews low to second slip, where Holder gets down very well to take an excellent catch to his left. 408/9
1406004.28578000
11.324413.82516100
18.6 to BM Duckett, taken by a tumbling Holder at second slip! Shamar strikes, and Gilbert Jessop can rest easy tonight... angling in from around the wicket, shaping away just enough to take Duckett's outside edge as he comes forward to defend with his bat facing mid-on. It skews away towards the cordon, and Holder takes an excellent low catch. 105/2
2207323.31805001
41.2 to HC Brook, horror shot, toe-ends a paddle-scoop to short leg and Sinclair is off somersaulting! Oh dear. Brook pre-meditated, looking to shovel it through fine leg and gets a long way forward, trying to turn a good-length ball into a half-volley. But he makes a mess of it, miscuing it towards midwicket via the toe and it loops up for McKenzie to settle underneath. Sinclair brings out his trademark celebration and West Indies have an opening!. 201/4
78.4 to AAP Atkinson, nicked to slip, West Indies have another! Fullish in the channel outside off stump, Atkinson has a fiddle and gets a thick outside edge to Hodge, who takes a sharp low catch to his left. No somersault from Sinclair this time around, but another important scalp... England are in danger of failing to reach 400 after cruising for most of the day. 370/8
0.30204.0010000

71.2 to BA Stokes, picks out deep midwicket! Hodge has his first Test wicket! Stokes throws his head back in frustration. Another stinker of a dismissal from an England batter today. This is slow and floaty from Hodge, sitting up invitingly from a length. Stokes rocks back, looking to mow him over cow corner and into the stands, but can only pick out the sub fielder on the rope who hardly has to move! Stokes perishes after a brisk 69. 342/6
77.4 to JL Smith, yet another stinker of a dismissal for an England batter! Speared in, short of a length outside off stump, and it sits up tantalisingly for Smith. He looks to repeat the trick, dragging it cross-batted, but can only pick out Holder at long-on who tumbles forward and takes an easy catch! Hodge has burgled two wickets before the second new ball and England are seven down. 367/7

74.4 to KAR Hodge, smashed on the top of the pad, up goes the finger! Hodge reviews immediately and height might be an issue here. Angling in from a good length, Hodge's bat almost got trapped behind his pads as he looked to work into the leg side. No bat on it. Would it have clipped the top of the stumps, according to Hawk-Eye's projections? Bit of a wait for ball-tracking... umpire's call, projected to hit the bail between middle and leg stump. 305/5
86.3 to JO Holder, tickled to Smith! Woakes strikes early on the third morning, as Holder's resistance is broken, and so is this solid stand. Woakes went on the fuller side of a length, while angling it in from slightly wide of the crease. The ball finished around sixth stump, as Holder looked to block but got a faint outside edge for a simple catch for Smith. 355/6
98.4 to AS Joseph, a loose flash outside off! Alzarri's disciplined knock ends in a flash of red mist. It was dangled way wide of off, too wide to chase really, but a thin snick off the toe of a wild drive carried through to Jamie Smith. He doesn't budge initially but the nick was audible and up goes the finger. 386/8
98.5 to JNT Seales, bowled him! Da Silva might not get a chance to build that lead! Perfection from Woakes, initially pushed across the left-hander, but held its line on off stump, nipped back past a front-foot press and pinged off the top of the off stump! That's more like it from the Wizard, who is on a hat-trick, and a five-for, after a tough day yesterday. 386/9
24.5410724.3010315241
21.3 to KC Brathwaite, nudged straight to short leg! Brathwaite falls just short of his half-century. He knew what was coming, but couldn't stop himself from playing at it. Good line from Atkinson, straight enough that Brathwaite couldn't just sway inside the line of it as he likes to. Instead, he shapes to work it around the corner but gets in a tangle, and it pops up off the inside shoulder of the bat for a straightforward catch. 78/2
89.6 to K Sinclair, gone, taken at gully! Brook does well to react, given he didn't have a lot of time there. He jumped a little, and took the ball high to his right. Atkinson floated a fullish delivery, while angling it in. The ball landed around sixth stump, and Sinclair went for the drive. But he got an outside edge, and the ball flew towards Brook, who did well to judge the ball in time. 362/7
2047113.55919201
111.5 to S Joseph, chipped off the pads, Wood ends the fun! He tried to stay in line, but this pinged off a leading edge, ballooned out to mid-on, where Atkinson made no mistake. 457/10
25010824.329714101
14.6 to M Louis, Mikyle Louis, what have you done?! He has another big swipe, playing a full-blooded slog-sweep as Bashir tosses one up above the eyeline. It hangs tantalisingly in the air but Brook does brilliantly, covering good ground running back from wide mid-on towards deep midwicket, and settles underneath it. Bashir has his first Test wicket on home soil.. 53/1
24.3 to KSA McKenzie, dreadful batting and another freebie for Bashir! Angling in, fullish length, no sign of any turn for Bashir. McKenzie seems caught in two minds and has no conviction whatsoever as he looks to swing this away over the leg side. His timing is off, and it loops up harmlessly for Stokes to settle underneath at mid-on, barely having to move. An absolute gift. 84/3
1206115.08448004
61.1 to A Athanaze, chases the width, and slapped to gully! Ben Stokes has the breakthrough and a mighty knock falls short of a deserved hundred. It was a tempter, fired across the left-hander, luring the drive, and that was a fast edge, well guzzled by Harry Brook. The captain's golden arm is rewarded once more. 259/4

25.1 to OJ Pope, taken at gully! The first delivery after the change of ball - and the break - gives West Indies an opening. Joseph angled this in, and went on a good length around sixth stump. Pope went driving with a slight gap between bat and pad, and got an outside edge. Sinclair, positioned at a slightly wide gully, pouched it comfortably while going low. 127/2
27.2 to BM Duckett, confident, animated appeal for lbw, and given out rather immediately! Duckett checks with Root, and reviews. Great delivery from Joseph, who fired in an inswinging yorker-length ball which landed on middle stump, as Duckett looked to push forward from off stump. He seemed to be beaten by the movement as much as the length. There is no bat involved with the ball clearly passing the inside edge. The third umpire is waiting and waiting for ball tracking... Seconds convert into minutes, but we are still waiting! Wow, it's a pretty long wait... before replays show the ball would have hit leg stump. So England lose the review. 140/3
22.219744.348614010
68.4 to HC Brook, nicks it! Brook's excellent innings ends with a loose drive to a lifting ball from Seales that moved just enough off the seam, with a touch of that extra bounce too. Not a lot of footwork, as Da Silva does the needful, and his first home hundred is done. 329/4
74.1 to BA Stokes, swings off the hips, straight to backward square! Another sucker punch for Stokes in this match, round the wicket, helped on its way with the angle. Got a good piece of it, but Alzarri was right back on the rope to guzzle the offering!. 341/5
90.5 to MA Wood, Seales ensures he does not require a fielder to take a wicket. Improves his line, bowling a fullish ball just outside off, and this one seams in and knocks "top of off". A big roar and scream as he deliveries a third wicket-taking delivery in three balls. 421/9
92.2 to Shoaib Bashir, yorker length, and it crashes into the base of the stumps! Four-for for Seales and England are all out for 425. West Indies need 385 to win. 425/10
1907513.94686002
82.5 to CR Woakes, edged, Holder grabs the high offering! Woakes stayed leg-sided, and punched on the up into the lifting ball, it was a loopy edge, off the splice of an angled blade, but it went to the tallest man in the cordon, at second slip. Plucked down with ease and another one falls!. 378/7
1525413.60606000
89.1 to JE Root, full and wide outside off. Root tries to go up and over cover, but straight to short cover! Well held! But he walks back to everyone applauding him, and he soaks it in too.. 419/8
1517815.20416000
75.6 to JL Smith, Edged, and gone to the last ball of the session! Smith stabs forward, playing for the interval, a thin feather on the off-stump line as the ball skids on through, and West Indies finish in some style this morning!. 348/6

13.1 to M Louis, first ball after drinks, the wicket comes! Woakes hits the perfect length outside off, but maybe a fraction wider than previous, Louis is drawn into playing when he might have left alone, a thin tickle through to Smith! Another gutsy knock from the new boy, but another start goes unconverted. 61/1
15.6 to KC Brathwaite, another edge, another catch for Smith! Three out of three in this innings so far. Woakes finds that perfect in-between length, reminiscent of his 2023 Ashes pomp. Forced Brathwaite to play, found that miniscule movement to snick him off. England are thriving now!. 74/3
914925.44358010
31.1 to J Da Silva, swiftly raises the finger! Length ball outside off but jagging in. Da Silva is pushed onto the back foot but the ball doesn't rise as much, and it hits him right in front of the stumps. The batter reviews. Only question is height... and it is clipping top of middle stump. "Umpire's call" is enough for Da Silva to make his way back. 113/7
31.3 to AS Joseph, eight down now! Is this going to end on day four itself? Joseph is on his knees, totally floored, as this length ball skids in, angles into the stumps, and the bounce variation forces the error from the tail-end batter. He's bowled, out for a two-ball duck. 113/8
821712.12392000
23.2 to K Sinclair, pace does the trick! And Sinclair is hurt too. But he reviews while going down! Short ball aimed at his body, and Sinclair takes his eyes off the ball while getting his hand in front of his face. The ball hits him on the wristband of the glove, and pops up for a simple catch behind to second slip. Sinclair reviewed because his arm was hurting, but the replays showed it came off the wristband, which is considered part of the glove. That's chin music at its best!. 91/6
11.124153.67482300
14.3 to KSA McKenzie, too short, but gets the breakthrough! Smith takes all the credit there! It was dragged down, but crucially it turned just enough as McKenzie rocked back to drive but lost his shape in his surprise. A fat deflection thuds into the keeper's gloves, and suddenly England are up and running. 66/2
16.6 to KAR Hodge, nailed on the pad, up goes the finger! Bashir probes and probes, Hodge was playing back, and this one misses his inside-edge, after turning just enough. The centurion gets a blob, doesn't bother reviewing. This is unravelling fast now. 75/4
18.5 to A Athanaze, drift, dip, turn, edge! Bashir is right into his work now! Round the wicket, tantalising flight and finds the ideal length for the left-hander, with half a bat's width of turn, Athanaze has to play at it, snicks low past the keeper's gloves, but Root stoops to gather!. 82/5
32.6 to JO Holder, oh, terrific ball! Flat and full ball just outside off. Nice zip in his release, and the ball turns in, goes past the edge of Holder's bat as he gets forward to fend, and the ball crashes into the stumps. 129/9
36.1 to S Joseph, five for Bashir, and England claim the Richards-Botham trophy easily! Full ball on middle. Joseph swings across the line, and he makes a mess of it. He's bowled and Bashir claims 5-41. 143/10
