5.4 to A Athanaze, Athanaze is out on the pull. Shortish ball at 131ks, looked to have deviated away a bit. Athanaze cleared his front foot and tried to clobber it while standing square-on, was through the shot too early and lobbed an easy catch to midwicket. 41/1 12.5 to N Pooran, tickled to the wicketkeeper! A soft dismissal eventually, although Williams had left Pooran clueless with this slower bouncer. Williams banged it in on middle and leg, and the ball jumped off the surface to instead finish on a middle-stump line. Pooran first shaped to ramp, but made a belated decision to let it go. But the ball instead hit his gloves and popped up for the keeper, leaving Pooran almost shaken. 108/4 17.3 to R Powell, well taken at deep-backward square leg! Van der Dussen, placed there, moved to his left, and went low, before grabbing the ball. Williams bowled a slower ball on a short of a length just outside off at Powell, who went for the pull. 19.2 to SE Rutherford, taken at deep midwicket! Rutherford spotted a length ball on off, and went bashing at it. But it was a slower ball, which also seamed away a bit. The boundary was slightly shorter too, but Rutherford hadn't timed it all that nicely. 170/6 | ||||||||||

8.4 to SD Hope, Third time's the charm for Kruger and his wide-ball plan, gets his first T20I wicket. It was a full cutter that might've been another wide had it been left alone. But Hope decided to go after it and toed a slash. Van der Dussen took it at deep point, came in and took it sliding forward on his knees. Good knock from Hope though. 83/2 11.1 to RL Chase, strikes first ball on his return! This is so similar to Hope's wicket. Maphaka was placed right on the edge of the boundary at deep point, and goes low to take it to his left. Chase saw a fullish delivery on a slightly wide line outside off from Kruger, and opened the face of the bat to slice it away. He hit it fairly powerfully too, but couldn't clear the boundary. 94/3 | ||||||||||

13.5 to T Stubbs, taken at long-off! This could be a late turning point in the chase. Allen, the sub fielder, just replaced Rutherford, and is in action right away. Hosein tossed this up at Stubbs, and went just outside leg. Stubbs went lofting as the ball turned away a bit, but seemed to be beaten in flight, and by the slowness of the delivery. 129/4 15.6 to HE van der Dussen, taken at deep midwicket! VDD finally went attempting a big hit, but gave his wicket away. Hosein bowled on a fullish length while angling this in, and going slower on leg stump. 4.4 to RD Rickelton, Rickelton picks out deep-backward square with the pull. Shamar is on his celebratory run again, finishes with a leap and a fist-pump. He'd rolled his fingers on the ball, dug it deep. Pulled flat and low. Forde ends up on his knees but holds onto his balance. 63/1 16.6 to BC Fortuin, bowled him! He fires a yorker at 139kph, and has Fortuin beaten! This also swings in nicely, with the seam tilted towards fine leg. Fortuin is standing on leg stump - or just about outside of it - and looks to jam his bat down, but is beaten by the length as much as by the pace. 144/7 18.4 to LB Williams, confident appeal for lbw, and given! But Williams reviews, probably just for the sake of it. Joseph bowled with a wobbly seam, and landed it on a length just outside off. The ball shaped back in, and bounced nicely to hit Williams on the back pad, as he looked to clip. No bat involved, and replays confirm the ball would have hit the top of middle. 146/9 | ||||||||||

5.5 to RR Hendricks, Dragged on, Hendricks' attractive 44 off 18 ends in the powerplay. Cross-seamer was spearing away because of Shepherd's round-arm action. On a fullish length and Hendricks wanted to slash it straight, didn't get the bounce he wanted. Under-edge has leg stump pegged back. 71/2 7.2 to AK Markram, Markram reviews an lbw decision but the low bounce made that look real close. Was there an edge? Doesn't look like it. Was a length ball on middle, may have decked in a bit. Markram tried to punch it straight, got beaten on the inside edge. Hit the back leg. Nothing on Ultra-Edge, and it's clipping the top of the stumps as per Hawk-Eye's prediction. Markram's promising start ends prematurely. 86/3 17.2 to PE Kruger, finds the fielder at deep point! Shepherd bowled full, and darted this is quite fast on a seventh-stump line. Kruger nearly got a taste of his own medicine there. 14.4 to D Ferreira, stumped him! Motie slows it down, and also gets one to turn, and Ferreira is beaten. The latter came skipping down the pitch early, and Motie bowled one on a length on middle. The ball turned and bounced too, as Ferreira closed the face of his bat to try and clip this, but missed it completely. Pooran then had a lot of time to whip the bails off. 134/5 | ||||||||||
