deceives him with the slower delivery, Badree is through his shot too early and he holes out to long-on as New Zealand wrap up a dominant home series against West Indies with a 2-0 win in the T20s
New Zealand vs West Indies, 3rd T20I at Mount Maunganui, Jan 03 2018 - Ball by Ball Commentary
10.00pm New Zealand were far too good again, completely outclassing West Indies in Mount Maunganui. They wrap up a massive 119-run win in the third T20I (their highest margin of victory), led by Colin Munro's belligerence. He struck his third T20I hundred to lead New Zealand to 243. Southee then got Walton and Gayle in the first over and West Indies were always behind the ball. It ended with an abject collapse, symbolic of their tour.
Colin Munro is the Man of the Match and the Man of the Series: "The way we started with Guptill, he has been away from cricket for a while. I try and swing from ball 1. In this format of the game, it is your night and sometimes it's not. I've played with these guys in the CPL, so I know what they would do to me. I've learnt a lot over the last six months. Worked on my technique to play the swinging ball."
Carlos Brathwaite: we just didn't execute with the ball, Munro has just had a great couple of games. We decided we were going to go for it, disappointing performance. We were behind the 8-ball, we got ruffled. Munro capitalised on our mistakes. Sometimes you have to say the opposition played better than you.
Kane Williamson: "Fantastic series, we know on their day, they are one of the best in the world. The attitude of the guys that came out, some fantastic individual performances. Things have been going well, for the guys to play their roles selflessly, it has been outstanding.
Duffman: "It's not just NZ's highest margin of victory, it's the 3rd highest by any team and the highest ever against a (current) top-10 country."
