Nymahuri floated this one wide of off, and on that teasing and inviting length in the channel outside off. Back of a length ball with extra bounce turning away pitching on the off stump, moves away to make room outside leg, plays the square cut shot, mistimed the stroke and edges it straight to backward point, substitute fielder Campbell dives in to complete the catch. 639/4 195.4 to Zia-ur-Rehman, excellent catch by the sub fielder Marumani! He was placed at long-on - maybe just a few steps inside - but ran forward a long way while keeping his eyes on the ball all along. Eventually, he grabbed it and tumbled forward as Williams got his second wicket. Williams had angled this in, and bowled on a fullish length on the stumps, only for Zia to try and hoick this across the line. But he ended up miscuing it, and the ball ballooned off the top half of the bat. 688/7 | ||||||||||

192.5 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, gets across, and lap sweeps... but in the meanwhile, Bennett appeals animated for lbw, and has his way! He got this one to dip on a fullish length on the stumps, and there was no turn this time. Shahidi was across early and played the lap almost premeditatively, only for him to miss and get struck right in front. Bennett can afford a smile after striking in his 26th over, as Shahidi departs for a massive 246. 679/5 192.6 to Azmatullah Omarzai, return catch for Bennett! He's on a hat-trick! At least something for Zimbabwe to cheer about after ages on the field. The ball was on a length, and slightly quicker, while landing just outside off. Omarzai heaved at it across the line first ball, but ended up getting a top edge. The ball skied up and took a while coming back down, even as Bennett takes it with a reverse cup. 679/6 196.3 to AM Ghazanfar, taken at long-on! Afghanistan are in search of quick runs, and that is costing them wickets. Bennett bowled this on a short of a length around middle and off, and naturally, the pace was a bit quicker. It almost seemed to hurry on to Ghazanfar, who looked to whip it hard, but ended up skying it down the ground. Gwandu went low and slid to his right to grab the ball just over the ground. 699/8 196.4 to Naveed Zadran, gone! The middle stump is flattened first ball! Bennett is on a hat-trick again. Again Bennett bowled on a short of a length, although this one came around middle and off. Naveed looked to half-swipe at it, almost as if having decided to play this shot last night itself. But the ball kept low, and he ended up getting a bottom edge. 699/9 196.6 to Zahir Khan, Bennett has five! Afghanistan are rolled over after lunch. He slowed it down on this occasion, and got this to dip on a fullish length on middle and off. The ball went on with the angle from around the wicket, and while Zahir looked to push forward from off, he was beaten and struck in front. Bennett knew he had his man, and got the decision he wanted even before he completed his appeal. 699/10 | ||||||||||

It was just the length to draw the batter forward, as Myers looked to defend. But the ball turned the other way, and went on to hit off stump. Gumbie shifted his weight back, and went pushing, only for him to get an outside edge for a simple catch to slip. And just as Gumbie departs, it starts raining there. 73/1 21.5 to T Kaitano, gone! Zahir strikes again! He angled this in from around the wicket, and got this to land on a full length on middle. Kaitano went for the paddle sweep with his front foot right in line with the stumps, but missed the ball. The length, I think, was too full for that shot. 81/3 | ||||||||||
