9.2 to SE Marsh, top edges a pull, Jon Holland initially moved forward but realised the ball was sailing over, he quickly adjusted himself, ran to his right, kept his eye on the ball as well as the ropes and completed an excellent catch. Adelaide have a wicket against the run of play. Marsh was striking them sweetly.. 70/2

15.2 to DJ Willey, looked to clear long-off but didn't get enough power. Excellent change of pace, a lot slower, and he didn't get the elevation. Travis Head positioned himself nicely, didn't have to move an inch, as he took it cleanly. The rope wasn't too far behind.. 98/5 18.1 to CT Bancroft, full, straight and boom! He looked to back himself and go over cover, but couldn't get under that one as the middle stump is disturbed.. 130/6

6.1 to M Klinger, steps out and lofts it up and over the infield, but can't get the elevation he needed to clear the long boundary. The long on fielder takes a dolly. The ball flew off the inner half of the bat, the bat swivelled in his hands. No real power behind that and Perth have lost their first wicket. 41/1

12.6 to MA Carberry, this was just waiting to happen. Nicely looped up again, Carberry was getting increasingly frustrated. This one was a superb googly, he failed to get to the pitch, deceived in the air as the ball spun past his bat to smash into the stumps.. 84/3 14.2 to MR Marsh, another one bites the dust. Nicely tossed up, this one was a traditional leg spinner, Marsh danced down too early and got too close to the ball, instead of getting underneath it. The ball spins past to hit off stump. Big blow that, Mitch Marsh can't make an impact tonight. 94/4 |

12.1 to BJ Hodge, looks to pull that over midwicket but doesn't get any sort of power behind that, only managed to lob it towards long on where Ashton Agar, the substitute fielder, ran backwards to position himself from where he could leap high in the air to pull it out of thin air. Lands on his back but he's pumped up.. 98/4 18.5 to AI Ross, another attempted bit hit but this time, he can only hit it as far as the mid-on fielder. A little late in the day for Perth, but it's a wicket nonetheless.. 150/6
3 | 0 | 18 | 1 | 6.00 | 10 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
1.4 to CJ Simmons, looks to slap it over mid-on but the ball got big on him, not much power or timing on that one as mid-on takes a good low catch running forward. 18/1
4 | 0 | 24 | 2 | 6.00 | 14 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
2.6 to TP Ludeman, looks to slash but is cramped for room, can only manage to get a thick edge as the wicketkeeper completes a regulation catch. 25/2 16.4 to DPMD Jayawardene, looks to force that up and over the infield but ends up slicing it towards point where the fielder runs backwards to hold on to an excellent catch. Has it come too late for Perth? Their celebration suggests otherwise. Excellent innings nonetheless by the veteran. 131/5

8.3 to TM Head, lofted over the infield but didn't get enough bat on it to clear the ropes, the man in the deep had the sun in his eyes, but did well to keep his eyes on it and take it with his hands facing skywards. Muted celebrations from Michael Carberry.. 67/3 |
