19.6 to SPD Smith, gives this an almighty swing, but finds out long-off. 185/5

6.1 to MJ Lumb, this is for the naysayers. Wicket first ball for Jadeja. Will Smith do the same later? Short of a length, quick, pitches outside off, then breaks in and beats the bat to catch him in front. 50/1

13.1 to BJ Haddin, Hilfenhaus is changing this game from the outfield. It's a long hop from Ashwin, Haddin is hurried into the pull a little, but the highlight here is the forward-diving catch from Hilfenhaus at deep square leg. Even when diving low, Hilfenhaus takes it with fingers pointing up. 109/3 13.3 to NJ Maddinson, Maddinson has had no clue against the spinner, and he caps it with a poor shot to get bowled. Moves well across and well before Ashwin has delivered. Ashwin fires in a full and straight delivery to knock the stumps over. 110/4

1.3 to M Vijay, Feet rooted. Bat swinging. Ball swinging. Stumps flying. Always on the card. Vijay has played completely down the wrong line as this full delivery swings in towards the stumps and beats the inside edge. 3/1 19.2 to R Ashwin, Ashwin is gone. Smith is superb on the boundary again. Moves across the stumps, gets a length ball, shovels it towards cow corner, but there is Smith in its way. 166/8 19.6 to VY Mahesh, plays the pick-up shot, finds Lumb at deep square leg. 171/9
4 | 0 | 42 | 1 | 10.50 | 9 | 7 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
7.6 to F du Plessis, Gets too much under this one to end this flier. He walks down the wicket and is trying to hit it straight for a six, but he is not close enough to the lenght of it, and sends it into the orbit. Starc runs in from long-on, settles under it, and takes a safe catch. 64/2
3 | 0 | 31 | 1 | 10.33 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
18.1 to RA Jadeja, Jadeja slogs, Jadeja goes. Length ball, he just swings across it, and manages just a thick edge to cover. 155/7
2 | 0 | 16 | 1 | 8.00 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
8.6 to MEK Hussey, slog-sweep, parallel to the ground, and it carries right into deep midwicket's lap. The shot was on despite the presence of deep midwicket, and he nailed it too, but couldn't get the elevation. 67/3
3 | 0 | 23 | 3 | 7.66 | 6 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
14.2 to S Badrinath, length ball, lays an almighty slot, gets a thick edge through to the keeper. Not sure this wicket is great news for Sixers. Badri did provide them a few dot balls. 122/4 16.3 to SK Raina, what a catch by Smith. You can say anything about Steve's batting and bowling, you have to doff your hat to his fielding. This is lofted high towards long-on, Smith stays at the edge of the fence, and catches it over his shoulder. How easy he makes this look. 141/5 16.5 to MS Dhoni, and now the captain departs too. Henriques seals the Man-of-the-Match award. I can see people growing this moustache to emulate Henriques now. Bouncer, on off, Dhoni has no room, pulls towards deep midwicket, and Hazelwood dives forward to take a special catch. Special, considering he is a fast bowler. 141/6 |
