18.6 to TL Seifert, that's a miscue, and Shaheen has his first wicket off his final delivery. Seifert miscued it to give backward point a straightforward catch, concluding a spell that sees him bag figures of 4-0-21-1. 125/7
4 | 0 | 24 | 1 | 6.00 | 11 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
8.2 to DJ Mitchell, this is the shot of a man who knows his time in the middle is done according to the tactics and he either hit out or get out. He tries it first ball, he tries it next ball too. This one is straighter so he takes on long-on this time. Finds the man to perfection. 54/2

5.2 to MJ Guptill, TIMBER. Not direct but Pakistan will take it. Guptill is backing away again, Rauf follows him with a quick length ball, it misses the inside edge and hits his thigh well outside leg, but the ricochet takes the off stump. And all this happens in a jiffy. It is seriously quick at 148ks. 36/1 17.1 to DP Conway, that's the end of Conway - and perhaps not the worst thing for NZ! Went the aerial route this time, but never had enough on it to clear the ropes. He's caught by Babar Azam at cow corner and a battle of an innings comes to an end. 116/5 17.3 to GD Phillips, slower ball that he picks up well, but only finds the fielder! It's all Pakistan right now. The fielder came running in and completes a smart catch, and Pakistan find themselves burrowing into the Kiwi tail. 116/6 19.6 to MJ Santner, cleans him up with a slower delivery! Finishes the innings with a bang, and Haris has four. Santner through his shot way too early and it clips the top of the stumps. New Zealand finish on a 134, and you would think that's not nearly enough to challenge Pakistan. But you never know with Pakistan, do you? Join Sid in about 10 minutes to see how this chase goes. 134/8

9.1 to JDS Neesham, and here is a wicket first ball. Neesham says I am not going to let you bowl to your plan, seens a full ball, and looks to go over midwicket, the short boundary. Can't clear the man, and Fakhar takes a smart catch moving to his left. 56/3 |

10.6 to Mohammad Hafeez, oh my goodness - that is the catch of the tournament! How on earth did Conway catch that? Danced down the ground and timed it beautifully past wide long-off, or so he thought. But Conway made up so much ground to his left and leapt into the air, catching it on his left side at full stretch. Glorious from the Kiwi, and New Zealand are properly into this. 63/3

5.1 to Babar Azam, stumps down. Pace off is working. New Zealand have tied these openers up with lack of pace, and this wicket has been a'comin' with all the dots piling. Babar tries the big slog, Southee bowls this full enough to attack the stumps, and gets the upper third of the middle stump as Babar is early into his swing. Hundred wickets for Southee. 28/1

14.5 to Imad Wasim, whacked on the knee and that's Imad done for! Shoaib Malik tells him not to bother reviewing, and Pakistan lose another one. Imad's tried that switch hit so often and it hasn't really come off for him. 87/5

8.6 to Fakhar Zaman, quick legbreak, big shout for lbw, but I am not sure why because he seems to have middled it. They are asking for pad-first, and they will review it. I think as this has skidded through, and it is pad first indeed. Just flicks the back pad on the way with this legbreak, and he is hitting the top of the stumps. An excellent review there. Fakhar has to go back. 47/2 11.4 to Mohammad Rizwan, struck on the pads, and he's given him! What a huge wicket this is, Pakistan crumbling a little here! It was flat and straight, and after a long conversation with Malik, decides against reviewing. NZ on top?. 69/4 |
