3.1 to WU Tharanga, Ntini nails Tharanga with one of his specials : a length-delivery that angles away from the left-hand batsman. Tharanga pushes at it, bat away from the body, and edges it low to Kemp at first slip who pouches it safely.. 13/1 45.5 to TM Dilshan, Dilshan falls. Slashed away to third man. What a fiesty knock it has been though. Full in length, outside off stump, Dilshan freed his arms at the width and ended up slicing it away to Kemp at third man.. 195/6

10.1 to ST Jayasuriya, Got 'em. First ball of the over, wide of the stumps, good bounce and Jayasuriya lashes fiercely. He can't get the timing right and the ball flies off a thickish edge to Kallis at point, standing at the edge of the circle. Good bowling from Langeveldt after Pollock's poor spell. This is a huge wicket for South Africa. 45/2 14.4 to DPMD Jayawardene, gotcha! Done in by that away movement. Full in length, on the middle and leg stump line, Mahela shapes to wrist it away to the on side, the ball straightens and takes the leading edge and pops up for de Villiers to hold a dolly at cover. South Africa are slowly taking control.. 65/3 48.2 to RP Arnold, Ah! Arnold falls. Full-pitched on the middle stump, Arnold goes down on a bent knee and attempts a slog across the line. He gets a top-edge which is snaffled up by Boucher.. 208/7 48.5 to MF Maharoof, Another one goes, going for some quick runs. Maharoof lofted a full-length delivery high over extra cover. Three men converged on it. Ntini from deep cover, Smith running back from cover and Gibbs rushing across from long off. Finally it was Ntini who took it.. 208/8 48.6 to WPUJC Vaas, Langeveldt grabs a five-for. Three of them came in the over and would you believe it, it's a maiden to boot. What a over at the death. Again full in length, Vaas has a swing but sends it down the throat of Gibbs at long-on.. 208/9

21.3 to KC Sangakkara, Sangakkara walks. It was banged in short and just outside leg stump, Sangakkara shaped to pull but the ball moved in a touch and cramped him up. The ball brushed the right glove and Boucher dived to his right to take it. The pair of Silva and Dilshan that took Sri Lanka out of trouble in the game against India will be on.. 90/4

0.6 to AB de Villiers, beauty! de Villiers is cleaned up. Landed on a length, around off and middle and bend back like a banana. de Villiers pushes outside the line and the middle stump is pegged back. Death rattle. What a start for Sri Lanka.. 1/1
9.2 | 0 | 54 | 4 | 5.78 | 33 | 8 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
44.5 to SM Pollock, BINGO! Finally Malinga strikes, that is a superb bit of bowling. It's a slower ball on the stumps, Pollock just does not pick it, plays inside the line of the ball and loses his leg stump. Even with the game all but gone Sri Lanka are fighting. Pollock played a good hand but now he's gone!. 206/6 44.6 to AJ Hall, ANOTHER! Andrew Hall goes off the very first ball! It's another speared-in yorker, Hall just about manages to dig it out, but he can't keep the ball down ... it bobs up into the air for the man at cover to pouch easily! Is there a twise left in this game. 206/7 46.1 to JH Kallis, Would you believe it? Malinga has got the hat-trick! Full, furious, outside off stump, Kallis goes for a square-drive and nicks it behind. Loud appeal. Kallis stays rooted. Even louder appeal and Harper raises the fatal finger. SA eight down and choking real badly.. 207/8 46.2 to M Ntini, And then they were one! Malinga gets four in four. Unbelievable! Screaming yorker and Ntini drives, plays all over it and ball crashes into the middle stump. Malinga is slinging down magic deliveries and SA are nine down.. 207/9

17.2 to GC Smith, Murali gets his man. Lovely bit of cricket. Flighted delivery, on a length, outside off stump and Smith is sucked into a drive. He is beaten in the flight and then by the turn and Sangakkara whips the bails off in a flash. Smith was dragged out of the crease. And it was some philosphical reaction from Murali. As if he expected it. No pumping of the fist, no big celebration, he just walks towards his team-mates with a smile. The smiling assassin.. 95/2 32.1 to HH Gibbs, Murali winks out Gibbs. Another flighted delivery and Gibbs is down the track. The ball dips rapidly on Gibbs who drives uppishly, low and to the right of Murali who dives to take the catch. SA need only 50 while SL need 7 wickets.. 160/3 32.2 to MV Boucher, Murali takes out Boucher. Two in two balls. Suddenly, SL are spinning back into the game. From round the stumps, it lands on the off and middle stump, quicker through the air, Boucher is caught at the crease and it spins in to catch him in front. The magician is unleashing his tricks.. 160/4

37.6 to JM Kemp, Sangakkara produces a smart stumping. Arm-ball outside the off stump and Kemp pushes inside the line and is beaten. Sangakkara whips the bails off, Kemps tries to slide it in but the foot is in the air! He is gone!. 182/5
