And so, RCB move to third in the points with eight points, only NRR keeping DC and GT above them. Don't go too far away thought. Jump over to follow DC vs MI LIVE where Capitals have opted to bowl. For now, on behalf of Thilak, Raghav and Vishal, this is Sudarshanan taking your leave. Ciao, aficionados!

6:46pm RCB win their fourth game away from home, someone loves travelling, eh? The result was never a doubt once Salt and Kohli got going in the powerplay. Salt demolished RR's bowlers and spirits with the new ball, especially his duel with Archer. Clean, crisp ball-striking galore, there was not way RR could stop him. Not that RR caught everything that came their way. Once Salt fell, the task at hand was right in Kohli's alley - one where he could anchor the chase. That he did with his 66th IPL fifty, joint-most with Warner.

RR's batting once again didn't rise up to the occasion earlier in the day. Jaiswal stood alone with 75 but got little support from the other end. If not for a couple of late cameos, and the dropped chances from RCB, they would have ended up with a much lower score.

Sanju Samson, RR captain: "After losing the toss on a slow wicket, 170-odd was a really good score. It was hard to bat in the powerplay. Knew Salt and Kohli would come hard at us. They won the game in the powerplay. [Dropped catches] They also dropped our catches, we also dropped their catches. It is okay, they batted better. Have to give it to RCB, their intent was better. Got to say toss helped. I would have liked to take this game to the 19th or 20th over. People have been honest in saying they committed some mistakes. We are in a good mindset. We have to put this game behind us, come back fresh and be confident about the next game. Need to keep this things aside and come back confidently."

Devdutt Padikkal: "I am trying to bat differently than what I am doing in the last few years. Conscious effort to do that in the off season. This year it has been on the technical side of things. I had to change a few things technically to try and make that work. DK and Andy have worked with me and that has worked. Being at RCB is great. I really care for this franchise, hopefully I continue performing. [RCB winning away from home] Coincidence. In T20 one or two overs can change the game and that's derailing the innings. I am sure we'll translate this at home."

Rajat Patidar, RCB captain: "The way bowlers executed the plans, it was nice to see. The way we bowled in powerplay was special. The wicket was not easy to bat, we targeted 150-170. The way I get my confidence from my bowlers was special. They are ready to bowl at any surface and any stage. Really enjoyed [Salt] batting from dugout. The way VK []Kohli bhai rotated the strike was special. We are not a team that looks at venue, we look to play positive and good cricket."

Phil Salt, Player of the Match: "Very pleased. Always pleased to contribute to a win, especially on the road. I gave it a chance early doors to try and hit it through off when he was swinging it. Me and Jofra have a lot of battles in the nets. He has bowled to me more than anyone else. I have faced him more than anyone else. The pitch was a little slower and lower than anywhere we played. Had an opportunity in the powerplay to put a stamp. Rajasthan played quite well, our bowlers got the plans right here. They shut the sides and made them hit straight."

Sandeep to Padikkal, FOUR runs

Easy does it! One of the most low-key winning runs. Length ball angling away from him, Padikkal reaches out to squeeze it past backward point. No one deep there and RCB seal a dominant nine-wicket win

Dropped! Make that ninth for the game. It was not a tough one, really. Short and wide, it was the slower one. Padikkal looks to ramp it up and almost hits it down deep third's throat. Theekshana comes charging in and shells it after diving forward. 27 runs off the previous two overs
