2.5 to P Nissanka, Mitch Hay take a bow! That is a top effort to dismiss Sri Lanka's danger man. Nissanka again goes pulling after a short one, but this time gets a thick top edge. It sails over the keeper and this should in most circumstances fall safe. But Hay gets an early start and hares back, so far back that after taking the catch he actually has to pop the ball back in the air to step back in play after stepping on the boundary line. 24/1 | ||||||||||

9.2 to WIA Fernando, Swing and a miss! Appeal for leg before as well. This struck Avishka on the front pad as he swung across the line. Was it angling down? New Zealand decide to review the not out call. No bat involved that's for sure. And my word, that's a great review! It's three reds as this is shown to be clattering into leg stump. So he moves to the off side, exposes all three stumps, goes very deep in his crease, and then tries to club him over his head. He'd have been stumped even if the ball didn't dislodge the bails. 168/5 15.5 to MG Bracewell, whattacatch! The googly earns another wicket. Full ball outside off. Bracewell gets in position to cream a drive, hits it well with the turn, but Asalanka - at cover - jumps to his left, and hangs on to a stunning catch while being parallel to the ground! 8.4 to MS Chapman, Asalanka has got his man! Chapman again looks to take him on, but this time the connection is just not there. It goes much squarer and flatter. Deep midwicket rushes in and holds on very well. The Sri Lankan skipper is pumped!. 94/2 10.3 to GD Phillips, the width earns the wicket! Gets this one to slide across the right-hander again. Phillips tries to slap it through the off side but he ends up hitting it straight to the fielder running in from deep cover! Comes off the bottom half of the bat. 112/3 12.2 to R Ravindra, length ball on off. Sliding in slightly. Ravindra tries to swipe through the leg side but the ball goes through him, and clips the top of middle stump! Out for 69 after a terrific counter-attacking innings. 129/4 | ||||||||||
