4.1 to AN Petersen, caught behind! The bouncer works for Malinga. Petersen tried to hook it but only ended up gloving it to the keeper. That's the first short ball Malinga's bowled today and it's brought the first wicket for Sri Lanka. Petersen was early on the shot.. 14/1

13.3 to Q de Kock, caught behind! Perera gets the ball to lift at pace from a good length, de Kock is caught on the crease and begins to play at it, he then stops his shot but leaves the bat hanging outside off stump, the edge flies through to Sangakkara, who takes his second catch. 50/2 15.4 to JP Duminy, played on! Duminy tried to run a good length ball down to third man but it was a bit too close to him and he got an inside edge on to his stumps. South Africa's steady start is unraveling. 53/3

29.1 to F Behardien, that's out, but I'm not sure how exactly just yet. The umpire is asking for TV replays, so maybe it's a stumping. Mendis bowled an offbreak that drew Behardien forward and then the ball spun through the gap between bat and pad. Replays show that the ball clipped the off bail on its way into Sanga's gloves so the question of a stumping does not arise. Behardien's been bowled and South Africa slump further and further.. 100/5 39.3 to AB de Villiers, AB's gone! And what a time for Sri Lanka to strike! Mendis pitched around off and spun the ball away from the right-hander, AB played inside the line and edged it to Sanga. AB put in so much hard work but has fallen just when he would have wanted to accelerate.. 148/6 41.5 to RJ Peterson, bowled him! Mendis pitched the offbreak on middle stump and Peterson did not read it. The previous ball had come back into the left-hander and this one went away. Peterson closed the face and the ball spun past the bat to hit off stump. 154/7

3.2 to TM Dilshan, such a soft dismissal! Dilshan tried to drive a short of a length ball on the up as it angled across him and ended up spooning it towards extra cover, where AB de Villiers ran to his left from mid-off to take a simple catch. 14/1 3.5 to KC Sangakkara, Sanga's gone! Caught at cover! The ball was on a length outside off and it moved away from Sangakkara a touch, drawing the left-hander into the drive. Sangakkara went after it and only succeeded in giving Duminy a head-high catch. 14/2 7.1 to WU Tharanga, Morkel is softening them up and Tsotsobe is reaping the rewards with some tight bowling too. Short of a length outside off, the ball bounces sharply, shapes away from the left-hander and hits the outside edge as Tharanga prods from his crease. Petersen takes the catch at first slip at head height. 16/3 30.5 to AD Mathews, what a poor shot that is. Mathews tried to pull a short of a length ball as it angled across him, so he was trying to hit against the line. He got a top edge that lobbed to extra cover, where de Villiers was waiting. Tsotsobe has his fourth!. 93/7

26.2 to LD Chandimal, the bowling change has worked for AB! After several overs of spin and gentle medium, he brings back his quick. McLaren gets the ball to lift sharply from short of a length and Chandimal is in a tangle as he attempts to fend it off. The ball seems to hold its line around off and grazes the outside edge through to de Kock. Looks like that came off the glove actually.. 78/5

24.1 to DPMD Jayawardene, he's bowled him through the gate, would you believe it! Mahela played for the turn away from the right-hander but it did not spin, instead it pitched outside off and went on the the arm, sliding through the bat-pad gap and crashing into middle and leg stump. 71/4
9.2 | 1 | 23 | 1 | 2.46 | 36 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
43.2 to BAW Mendis, Tsotsobe has taken an excellent catch at backward point to end the game! He is pumped as he flings the ball in the air in celebration. Mendis came down the pitch and tried to hit down the ground but the ball flew flat and quickly off the outside edge, Tsotsobe moves to his right and dives to take it.. 167/10
6 | 0 | 19 | 3 | 3.16 | 22 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
27.3 to AK Perera, Perera's debut innings is a brief one, he tries to pull one that isn't too short and the top edge lobs tamely to AB de Villiers at midwicket, there was a bit of extra bounce for the bowler. 81/6 42.1 to NLTC Perera, Perera's holed out and the ground has gone dead quiet! He tried to clear the wide long-on boundary, slogging a short and slower ball from outside off stump. I think he made contact with the bottom of the bat and it turned in his hand, slicing the ball high in the air. It isn't Lopsy under the catch this time, it's Faf du Plessis running in from long on and he catches it comfortably. Faf's been awesome in the field all night.. 165/8 42.5 to SL Malinga, knocked him over! Malinga clears his front foot and slogs wildly. The good length ball clips the top of off stump, South Africa only need one more. 166/9 |
