Guyana come from behind to win

Guyana grew their lead at the top of the points table with a four-wicket win over second-placed Barbados. Victory was sealed courtesy a solid chase of 333 with contributions through the order, after Barbados had declared. Narsingh Deonarine was the main contributor for Guyana, with 90. Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Rajindra Chandrika also hit half-centuries, as the target was chased down in 96 overs.

Barbados had declared their second innings at 241 for 6, a score set up by Kraigg Brathwaite's second ton of the game. He made 112, following his first-innings 102 that carried the team to 312. In reply, Guyana had managed only 221, with Miguel Cummins claiming a five-for. At that point it seemed Barbados were in control, but it was not to be.

Kenroy Peters took 6 for 24 in Leeward Islands' first innings, and Mervin Matthew claimed 5 for 32 in their second, to set up Windward Islands' nine-wicket win in in St Lucia.

Leeward Islands were skittled for 161 in 60 overs on the first day after they were sent in to bat. Their captain Devon Thomas top scored with 38, but Leewards were sinking at 97 for 8 before No. 10 Gavin Tonge made 37 to prop them up past 150. Peters had scythed through the middle order and needed only 15 overs to claim his six wickets.

Peters then top scored in Windwards' first innings too, making 44 as several batsmen got starts but failed to convert them. Windwards scored at a fast clip too, making 249 in 57.3 overs before they were dismissed on the second day. Tonge and Rahkeem took three wickets apiece for Leewards.

Trailing by 88 in the first innings, Leewards lost three wickets before wiping out the deficit, but once Sherwin Peters was dismissed for a innings top score of 42, the rest folded. They were dismissed for 170 in 71.3 overs, with Matthew doing the bulk of the damage for Windwards.

Windwards were then left with a target of 83, which they knocked off for the loss of Johnson Charles to achieve victory on the third day.

Imran Khan took 6 for 24 to skittle Jamaica cheaply in the final innings and secure a 179-run victory for Trinidad & Tobago at Sabina Park.

Jamaica had been set a target of 357 in the chase and had made a steady start. Their openers added 51, and John Campbell and Jermaine Blackwood put on 77 for the second wicket. They were 128 for 1 when Campbell was dismissed for 83 and then the slide began. They slumped to 177 for 5, and then lost their remaining wickets for no runs. Imran claimed four wickets in an over to hasten the end of the match.

T&T had made 277 in the first innings after being sent in to bat. Jason Mohammed's 62 was the only 50-plus score but there were useful contributions from several of his team-mates too. Just that they did not convert their starts. Damion Jacobs took 4 for 70 for Jamaica.

In their reply, Jamaica collapsed to 29 for 5 courtesy Marlon Richards, who finished with 4 for 42 for T&T. Brandon King made 71 in the middle order, and Odean Brown contributed 44 at No. 10 to lift the score to 167 before Jamaica were dismissed for 167.

T&T built on their first-innings lead of 110, riding on Kjorn Ottley's 99. No one else made more than 25, though, and T&T were dismissed for 246. Their overall lead was 356, and that turned out to be plenty.
