12.1 to JL Jonassen, straight through Jonassen, and the zing bails light up! Superb yorker, sizzling through on middle and leg. Jonassen looks to work to leg and that leads to her undoing. Perhaps aims squarer than what was ideal and cannot make contact. The ball breezes past and thunders into middle and leg. Timely breakthrough for the Giants!. 108/2 19.5 to MM Lanning, stumps go splat, and there will be no WPL hundred in this innings! Slower ball on a back of a length on middle and leg. Lanning looks to hack it towards cow corner but makes a complete hash of the stroke. Only connects with fresh air and hears the death rattle soon after. 8.6 to Shafali Verma, miscued and taken on the fence comfortably! Angled in full on middle and leg. It is there to be hit and Shafali chances her arm. Does not quite get the connection she is after, though, and gets more height than distance, perhaps because it was an off-pace ball. Litchfield settles under the high ball and makes a tricky catch look really easy. Gobbled up right on the fence, and Shafali walks back for a 27-ball 40!. 83/1 14.2 to JI Rodrigues, soft, soft dismissal, and Meghna has her second wicket! Fullish just outside off. Rodrigues advances, looking to go over mid off. Still on the move while she is playing the stroke and hence cannot generate the power she is after. Chips it straight to Gardner and Rodrigues storms off shaking her head. The Giants will not mind this, though. They will not mind it one bit!. 119/3 16.4 to A Sutherland, straight to Dottin at long on! Sutherland perishes! Slower ball on a back of a length on the stumps. Sutherland opens up her stance and hacks it flat to long on. Dottin dives forward and seems to pick it up cleanly. The umpires, though, want to have another look. 1.6 to D Hemalatha, Lanning pouches it on the second go, and Hemalatha's underwhelming season continues! Full just outside off. Hemalatha looks to drive but does not get on top of the bounce. Arrows it uppishly towards extra cover, where Lanning performs a juggling act before holding on. DC make early inroads again, and it is Pandey with the early inspiration!. 4/1 15.3 to A Gardner, Gardner throws her head back in disappointment, and this game turns again! Dug into the track outside off. Right where Gardner wants it and she gets a good piece of it too. 17.5 to DJS Dottin, in the air, and what a magnificent grab by Rodrigues! Oh my - how many twists and turns does this game have?! Jonassen dares Dottin to go over cow corner again but this time, slows it up just enough to create a miscue. Right off the toe-end and Dottin arrows her slog sweep towards deep mid wicket. Rodrigues rushes in off the fence, lunges forward and snares the chance. The Capitals have a lifeline!. 162/4 17.6 to P Litchfield, gone first ball! Good lord - what is happening here in Lucknow! Fizzed in full just outside off. Litchfield goes for the glory shot and makes a complete hash of it. Shanks it off the inside half and Shafali does the rest at long on.
