Marsh tries to dab it away but because the ball has come back in, he is cramped for room. In the end, he feathers it through to McDermott, who snares a sharp chance. Prods at it, more in hope than anticipation, and sees the ball thud into the top of off stump. What a way to get your first BBL wicket!. 27/1 6.1 to BR McDermott, chops it on! O'Neill has two on debut, and the Hurricanes are rocking now! Back of a length outside off. McDermott, having taken a step down the track, tries to force it through the off side. Plays at it with an angled bat, though, and all he does is drag it back onto his stumps. Huge moment in the game!. 48/3 | ||||||||||

5.3 to M Wright, Zampa likes it, Oxenford does not! The Renegades go upstairs! Full and flat on off stump. Wright shuffles across, shaping for the paddle sweep. Misses it completely and gets pinged on the front pad. Interestingly, Oxenford was ready to give it as a leg bye, perhaps indicating he felt the impact was outside the line. No bat or glove involved.
