2.3 to JP Bray, terrific bowling from Pollock - that is absolutely plumb. Cutting back into Bray once more, and Bray is rather trapped on the crease - trying to come forward, but without much conviction - and that's taking out middle. 0/1 12.3 to WTS Porterfield, on off stump but too short to be driving on the front foot, and he spoons it just over Kallis's head at extra cover...who takes a couple of steps backwards and a fine catch, tumbling to the ground as he does so. 31/2

22.5 to NJ O'Brien, clever bowling in response, O'Brien through his shot too soon to that slower ball and the ball catches the back of the bat and flies up and into the hands of Gibbs at short midwicket. Catches don't come much simpler and South Africa are gaining momentum, and control, here. 77/4 31.3 to WK McCallan, another easy catch; a short-pitched delivery and the batsman jumps up to cut that off the back foot, getting a top edge through to Boucher the poucher. 124/7 31.4 to PJK Mooney, short and strangled down leg-side for a golden duck. Langeveldt's grinning, as you would when you're on a hat-trick. 124/8

19.5 to EJG Morgan, what a vicious delivery, spitting up at him. He had nowhere to go, the ball skying to square leg who took a simple catch. Excellent change of pace there, but the wicket owed as much to the pitch's vagaries. 63/3 30.1 to AC Botha, that's full and tempting, Botha's tempted and flights that up to cover for a simple catch. 119/6

28.6 to AR White, goes he softly into the light, hitting that full toss up to midwicket. 116/5 |

0.3 to AB de Villiers, gone! It was short and wide, and deserved to be clobbered through the covers, but it jumped up a touch, causing his cut to fly to William Porterfield at backward point. And though he juggled it, he remained calm and took it on the second attempt. 1/1 16.3 to HH Gibbs, dragged down and that's another great catch! This one hit the bottom of the bat, the ball on too quickly for Gibbs looking to hit it over midwicket, and that's snapped low and tidily indeed. 85/3

12.1 to GC Smith, what a catch! That is a quite brilliant, reflex snaffle from Johnston. A full toss which Smith hammered back to him, no more than four or five inches above the ground, and Johnston plucked it out of the air. 71/2
